It's the beginning of the summer & I was ready to do hoodrat shit with my boys, but not too hoodrat cause Alexis be trippin. We were all slowly turning 16 one by one & at that age is when everything is suppose to happen. Fucking to be exact. That was on all of our minds since our hormones were all over the place. Getting paid & getting laid was a catch phrase that Rich & I couldn't wait to live up to.
"Yo D! This the second time you zoned out on me. You can't be thinking about sex THAT much," Dre said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Shut yo mouth. I was doin' sum," I said stroking my chin hairs.
"Nigga you wasn't doin' shit. We tryna figure out what to do this summer since it's our first summer without Kees," Q said making me scratch the back of my neck.
"Everything we do we gotta bring a souvenir back & take it to his grave," I said swallowing hard after. It was still hard to stomach the thought of Kees being 6 feet under. It just didn't feel right.
"Yeah we can do that," Dre said before sighing. Even though Kees & myself were tight, I couldn't understand what Dre was going through because like I said before, I'd be completely lost without my nigga Rich. Shit I'd go insane if I lost him.
"Ariana don't start this shit bro niggas ain't in the mood," Rich said on the phone making me & the boys laugh.
"I'M LITERALLY WITH DOM, DRE, & Q! THE SAME NIGGAS I'M WITH EVERYDAY, WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM MEEEE!?" He said sounding like Tyrese & at this point, I was in full blown tears.
"Whatever dude I ain't finna argue with yo pickle head ass I'll hit you later," he said before hanging up.
"Females bro," he added.
"Can't relate," Q said making me shake my head.
"What happened now?" I asked
"Bro she trippin off me liking a bitch picture. I don't know how much of this childish shit I can take like fo'real she act like she got a ring on her finger or sum'," he said sounding stressed out.
"I feel you. Females don't like seeing they nigga show any type of attraction to another bitch so just chill on that shit foo it ain't like she askin' you for a lot just don't like mothafuckas pictures it ain't that hard," I preached.
"Yeah whateva," he said making me shrug. I don't have these type of problems because I don't like no female, but mine. Broads can't even get a hello out of me let alone an instagram like. Rich can be dramatic sometimes which pretty much makes him & Ari perfect for each other.
"Has anyone talked to Gia?" Q asked.
"Shorty left Philly," Dre said making me snap my neck.
"You lyyiinnn'," I said shocked.
"I'm not. She went back to Harrisburg where da white folks is," he said.
"Shit, ion blame her," Q said.
"I don't either. She took Kees' death real hard," I said feeling bad for my homegirl.
"Enough of dis shit yall gon make a nigga cry. Can we go trap?" Rich asked.
"Yeah let's dip," I said before we all left Dre's house.

"So you're really gonna make me tryout by myself?" I asked Ari as we were doing yoga.
"Alexis, do I look like the type to be on a basketball team?" She asked.
"But you're good at it! Come on best you never let me do anything by myself," I whined.
"Dude fine! What about dance?" She asked.
"What about it? It'll still be there I mean I have a whole scholarship for it," I said.
"Alright. It's the beginning of the summer so I'm trying to have fun."
"Same here. I'm tired of boring summers."
"Right, so what do you have in mind?" She asked.
"Honestly, nothing," I said before popping on the bed.
"You don't wanna do anything with the guys?" She asked sitting criss-cross on my bed.
"Noooo we can never have any fun when they're around & you know it. Dominic & Richard together equals lifetime lectures," I said truthfully. I loved double dating with them don't get me wrong, but Ari & myself are never able to do girl stuff because of how protective they are. I mean, I understand why considering everything we've all been through within the last year, but we at least want to live a little. My 16th birthday is in literally 3 days & I have absolutely nothing planned.
Dominic has brought up us having sex since 16 was the age we agreed to, but that was before my innocence was snatched away from me by 2 different people. So I honestly don't know where to turn to just yet.
"I'm scared that me & D won't work out," I said sitting on a bean bag.
"Here you go. What happened now?" Ari asked.
"Nothing. We agreed to lose our virginity to each other at 16, but that was before I was raped. I'm still traumatized," I said sadly feeling my eyes burn.
"Lex you know Dominic will love you regardless & he's very understanding. If you're not ready he'll accept it & wait on you," she said making my stomach turn. I don't care what anyone says, no dude will wait forever especially when all of his friends are about to be having sex. Pushing the thought to the back of my head, I pulled out my laptop & began looking at birthday ideas.
