Dominic(Dom)

I don't understand why everything has to be explained. In every situation, everybody wants or so called needs an explanation, but what I say is fuck them & everything they stand for. I don't have to explain why I sell dope. I don't have to explain why I got so many tattoos at 16. I don't have to explain why I don't play ball like that no more & I damn sure don't have to explain why I'm labeled as cold hearted. I done been through a lot of bullshit since I was a kid to where I done became numb to shit. Sad right? On some real shit, if it wasn't for my shawty, I'd be on the streets somewhere or probably worse. Lex sees the good in a nigga & even if the whole world is against me, she always stand by me which is why I'll never change on her.

"Can I schedule an appointment?" I asked.

"It wouldn't make a difference Mr. Wilson they'll still have you on the same medication," the pharmacy technician said.

"I don't understand why bro I don't even feel like that anymore," I said getting frustrated.

"I understand, but they want to be sure your schizophrenia doesn't come back."

"I guess. Can I at least get my prescription then since I'm here?"

"I'm really not suppose to without a parent or guardian present, but I'm too familiar with your face so wait here," she said before going to the back.

I sighed & rubbed my face. I been having wicked ass nightmares about Dame since he died & it's only getting worse. I was literally sitting on my bed talking to myself thinking he was right next to me. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia & put on Trazodone for the time being. Feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket, I took it out & seen Alexis texting me.

From: My Shawty💙🤞🏽- meet me at Sweet Charley's in 15 loser.

I chuckled before putting my phone back in my pocket. Lex has been watching Mean Girls a lot lately so loser is her favorite word.

They repaired Sweet Charley's after it was bombed last year so it's back in action.

"Here you go. Give your mom her prescription as well," she said handing me two different bags.

"Thanks Yolanda," I said before leaving out.

"Tenofovir?" I questioned looking at my mom's prescription name. Fuck is that?
I shrugged & walked to my mom's house since I laid back on driving Dame's truck so much. It was starting to draw too much attention.

"I got your medicine ma," I said & when I said that she looked like she seen a ghost.

"Oh, thank you baby," she said quickly grabbing it.

"What's it for?" I asked curiously.

"Oh just high blood pressure. Old folk stuff," she said making me shrug.

"You staying?" She asked.

"Nah I gotta meet Lex right now," I said before kissing her cheek.

"Okay tell my baby I said hey," she said. I nodded & ordered an Uber to pick me up before I was headed to Sweet Charley's.
