"No!" Ciera yelled out as she stared in horror at the scene in front of her. Her wrists are bound above her head with rope as a chain is attached to the ceiling suspending her off the floor. She swayed slightly back and forth as she fought her binds, as a result of her fighting her shoulders began to ache as a dull pain caused her groan. "Stop!" She cried as she closed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Please..." Her broke apart as she felt her throat tighten, becoming dry.

Before her on the ground lays her brother, beaten and bloody. His dark hair clung to his face with sweat and blood, his face that once held so much joy is not contorted in pain. Blood stains the side of his face as there is a long cut across his cheek and down over his left eye. His upper body - void of clothing - was littered with cuts and bruises as blood covered his torso. His dark cargo pants held patches of blood as there is a cut in the fabric over his right thigh where a stab wound presents itself. Cole lets out a yell as he is kicked in the back by one of the surrounding men and again in his stomach.

Ciera lets out a cry when she watched another man took out his knife and bends down to Cole. He glances up at her briefly before looking back down to Cole, turning him onto his back. He places the knife to Cole's chest and presses down causing blood to seep through his skin and surround the knife. Cole takes in a deep breath as he groans in pain when the man slides the knife across his chest, slowly as he watched the blood oozes out of the fresh wound.

Ciera cries out again, but stops when she feels a sudden pain in her stomach. She looked to the man that just punched her as he reveals his fist back again and punches her in the face. Ciera's head falls back as she can taste blood in her mouth. Her head falls back down to her chest as she sees black spots dance in her vision. The last thing she sees is someone plunging the knife into Coles chest.

Ciera jolted awake as her eyes flew open, the first thing she was met with was pain. The pain was all over her body, her head felt like it was split open, her ribs felt as if someone were trying to take them out of her, as her stomach felt like it was on fire, and her knee felt as if someone was twisting her knee cap in all different directions. She gasped at the pain as she tried to shift into a comfortable position. Her eyes snapped shut when she feels - what felt like - her ribs shifting and breaking. Breathing out a quiet yell she wrapped her arms around herself, in hopes to lessen the pain. It didn't work, only made the pain worse as she lay on the couch.

"Hey, hey, hey." Ciera mind raced as she realized there was someone in the room with her. She tried to clear her mind so she could hear him better, but the pain surrounding her was too much to bare. She opened her eyes, she noticed her apartment looked different. Not having the strength to think about the differences, she looked to the side, noticing she was on a couch as she tried shift onto her side. She bit her bottom lip as she felt her ribs were on fire, a small scream fought its way up her throat. "Calm down." Her gaze landed on the person talking to her. She felt as if she saw him before, his voice was familiar, his black clothing, even the black mask. She forced the thoughts out of her mind as she forced her head back when another wave of pain consumed her. Taking a deep breath she tried to null the pain, but her powers were not coming to her aid. "Your safe. I have you some pain meds they should take effect soon." His words brought her back as she tried to look at him again.

Ciera nodded, feeling her words fail her, as she had never experienced this amount of pain before. Her powers and magic were always there to aid her in her fights, they would wrap around her and protect her from any attack. If she did end up getting hurt her magic would automatically heal her wounds, resulting in little to no pain. But whatever was on that cloth had caused her powers to fail her. However, the pain she felt as this moment prevented her from thinking about that. It would have to wait until the pain wasn't as bad. She closed her eyes as she rested her head on the pillow she hadn't noticed was there as she felt the meds start to kick in, making her tired. She opened her eyes once more gazing at him as he watched her. "Than...da...ah..." She tried to form the words to thank him but all that came out was incoherent babble.
