Ciera Wilks has had a hard life, she witnessed her parents murder at a very young age. Not having the best upbringings due to her strange abilities. The language came first, when she found herself either stressed or upset she realized that she would speak in a different language. Thinking it was just her mind substituting her words, she thought nothing of it. Until one day when she uttered these strange words, something happened; her hand glowed a pale blue color as a strange pattern was emitted from her hand with strange markings on the outer edge of the circle pattern. Fearing she was losing her mind she confided in her brother, Cole. He explained everything to her, though she found it hard to believe that she had witch type abilities. As the older she became she realized that her 'powers' fed off of her emotions, at a young age she found it difficult for her to keep her emotions in check.

One day when Ciera was nine, she was having an exceptionally bad day. It seemed like everything she did was wrong, nothing and no one was one her side. Trying the breathing exercises that her brother taught her was keeping her calm to a point, but all it took was a single breath, the wrong look from someone, or even the dropping of something that she held within her grasp. She snapped. Screaming at the top of her lungs, just to get the anger, frustration, and all the tension out of her. When she calmed down she was devastated when she looked around her. Everything was either broken or on fire. Tears escaped her eyes as she tried to wrap her head around what happened, it was when she raised her hands to her face when she noticed something else. Surrounding her person is a red aura that seemed to simulate fire. What had she done?

Cole was Ciera's older brother, he had a unique ability as well. He was much older, maybe 15 when their parents died. He found he could command the lightning, and use it at his will. Just a single thought and he could shoot lightning out of his fingertips, or he could create an electric pulse that would destroy everything within a 20 foot radius. He was very withdrawn growing up, however his father, Thomas, had connections in an organization that called themselves SHIELD. Together they helped Cole control his ability and use it to help people. Now almost seven years later his sister needed the same help and guidance he once needed. Taking it upon himself he helped her control her ability. Training her in martial arts, how to clear her mind and not to let her anger control her emotions. He helped her to use her ability to help others and in doing so discovered she had another ability; if she concentrated hard enough she could, essentially, freeze time itself.

Over time their abilities became stronger the more they practice. Cole developed the ability to cover himself in his lightning power and was able to 'streak' across places at a considerable distance in mere seconds. Ciera's power only grew as she became older, finding new ways to let emotions out and not be consumed by them. When she was 19 she was declared as the strongest 'Witch' in the world. Having these abilities allowed them to help others and save many lives. Along the way they met a few others with extraordinary abilities.

Samanta, the youngest of the group, is considered the witch of the groupe. Having an array of spell books and incantations. She could conjure up anything from simple protection spell to fire raining down from the heavens. She raily delbeld in the dark arts, only focusing on the lighter side of magic. However, there have been times when she turned to the dark arts to keep her friends alive. Herself and Ciera would help each other in building their power, becoming stronger as the years rolled on.

Sara and Tara, they were sisters, twins to be more exact. Not having any special powers they couldn't move things with their mind or create weapons out of ice. However they were highly skilled assassins and could use ultimately any weapon that was ever made. They were highly skilled in martial arts. Using their skills they trained the team so their fighting skills were not only good, but they were the best. Sara's weapon of choice was bow and arrows, always hitting her mark. Tara's choice of weapon was a wide array of weapons, the bow and arrow, multiple throwing knives, and guns. They were the deadliest on the team.

Lorian, a young woman who could control ice and use it any way she wanted. She could create weapons with her ice powers with a simple thought, even send a blast of cold air toward her enemy that would instantly freeze them. With having the ability of ice also came the ability of water. If she concentrated hard enough and with enough practice, she could heal any wound - from a simple paper cut to a large gash - which came in handy when she became part of the team.

Finally; Maggie, she had a mind of a supercomputer, being able to create anything out of nothing. Saying she was smart was an understatement. She created a lot of weapons for the team and also designed outfits they would fight in that not only protected them but complemented their each unique ability. Though she was smart this wasn't her only ability, she could also shape shift into any animal, from the largest elephant to the tiniest mouse.

A few years after the group became wonderful friends, were fighting a group of superhuman criminals threatening to take over the world. This wasn't new in their line of work, it seemed like every other day someone wanted to take over world domination. However this time things were different. They managed to defeat their enemy before a group of five people made their presence known. During this time they learned that this group of five different people were known as the leaders of a criminal organization called 'The Hand'. The fight seemed to last forever, ultimately Samantha, Tara and Sara lost their lives. As Ciera and Cole were helping Maggie and Lorian out the older chinese woman threatened Ciera. Telling her if they didn't drop this she would be sure to kill everyone else she holds dear.

Having taken her warning to heart she left her team behind, under the protection of the Avengers and went after 'The Hand' on her own. When she was in Europe she discovered her brother followed her. Eventually 'The Hand' discovered Ciera did not head Madame Gao's warning and they tortured and killed Cole. Ciera managed to escape and flead back to America. Not wanted to drag her remaining friends in her failure she left them in the safe hands of the Avengers and stayed away.

Five years have passed since than, she now found herself in Hell's Kitchen within New York City. She was close to Maggie and Lorian, but kept her distance knowing they were safer without her in their lives. She followed The Hand's movements, which led her to where she is now. Keeping a low profile she tried to find a weakness within the group and ultimately bring them down. She was not only seeking revenge, but retribution. In her mind she failed her brother and her friends. She needed to make things right and she would do anything to clear her conscience.
