Panic and terror filled Ciera's heart as she felt the building start to crumble around her. A cough erupted from her chest as she lay on her back trying to catch her breath. When she closed her eyes Matt's face flashed before her. Quickly opening them she remembered she wasnt alone. Forcing herself to turn onto her stomach she tried to get up, though her shaking arms and legs would fail her in this task. "Matt..." her voice was hoarse as it left her throat. Blood trickled down the side of her mouth and down her left arm. Raising her arm up she wiped the dirt and dust from her eyes as she tried looking again for her partner.
Wooden beams from the ceiling fell all around her, kicking up more dirt and dust from the floor. The unsteady building was crumbling around her and she wasnt sure if she could get out. A cough erupted from her chest once more as she lowered her head and raised her hand to her mouth. Once her coughing fit was over she raised her head once more and continued her desperate search for the man who had no business coming to the warehouse.
She blinked a few times when she saw a black outline of something on the floor a couple of metters ahead of her. "Matt?" Her voice sounded unsure as she started crawling toward who she believed to be the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. A wooden beam fell right in front of her causing her to stop and duck her head down as the dust and dirt swirled around her. A soft yelp escaped from her dry throat as she tried to continue toward her destination.
When she did finally reach the object she believed to be Matt she put her hand on him and indeed she felt the black fabric of his shirt as well as the hard, yet soft muscle of his arm. Grabbing a hold of his arm she pulled him onto his back. Horror struck her at the site of his face. Blood trickled down the corner of his mouth, small cuts could be seen on the corner of his mouth as a large gash donned his cheek followed by multiple bruises, and this was just the lower half of his face. The smell of blood reached her nose as she placed her hand on his chest and gently shook him. "Matt, please." Bringing her hand up she was struck with horror once more as her hand was coated in blood, his blood.
Tears filled Ciera's eyes as she tried to keep her mind from wondering down a familiar path. Taking in a nervous breath she brought two fingers to his neck in search of a heartbeat. The tears she had been holding back fell freely when she lowered her head to his shoulder. "No, please." A sob wrenched her body as her chest tightened. "You can't leave me too." She softly cried as she felt the building start to fall apart around her, wooden beams and parts of the wooden ceiling flaked off with no support to hold it.
Her heart and this building had something in common at this moment, they were both falling apart.

Ciera found herself standing outside a familiar bar, the sun was just starting to go down taking the temperature with it. She looked down at her feet as she thought about Nick's words almost two days ago. His words seemed to haunt her, never letting her quite relax before her memories took hold. She sighed heavily as she walked forward pushing the door open and allowing the warmth from within the bar to warm her chilled body.
Walking up to the counter she sat at the end as she took off her coat and draped it over the back of the bar stool before she sat upon the warn cushion. Looking up over the bar she saw the same bartender from the last time she was in here. She was pretty sure she said her name was Emily, with everything crumbling around her she couldnt help but forget the kind bartender who helped her smile.
"Your new favorite?" Emily asked as she reached up and grabbed the bottle with the mixed alcohol within.
Ciera smiled lightly. "You know it."
She watched as Emily pored her drink and set it before her. "Holler if you need anything else."
Ciera nodded her head as she picked up her glass. "Thanks." Taking a sip she felt the warm liquid go down her throat and warm her insides. Setting her glass down her mind kept going back to the messages Lorian left her almost a week ago. She knew she'd be calling again soon, she called every week to try and - in her words - knock some sence into her.
