Emma rolled over in bed laying her head on my chest, her leg laying on top of mine as she looked up to me. "You're up?" She asked seeing me awake. I wrapped my arms around her.

"Couldn't sleep." I answered with a shrug and a kiss to her lips.

"Did you ever think this day would come?" She smiled as I broke away from our kiss.

"I was hoping it never would." I joked as she playfully hit me.

"Babe, it isn't every day that your daughter gets married." She smiled again as I rolled to my side to face her propping my head up on my hand.

"I have a better idea," I said excitedly. Emma eyed me suspiciously. "We lock her in a tower and throw away the key."

"Your daughter is a grown woman, she's getting married and you can't stop her." Emma laughed pecking me with another kiss on the lips before climbing out of the bed and going to the bathroom.

"She doesn't even know this guy!" I called out after her.

"They've been dating for years Liam, get up, we have to get moving."

"But can we really trust this Dermot fella?"

The bathroom door opened as Emma stepped back outside. "He is our best friends son, we've known him for his entire life, so has Maisie. Now get up Liam before I make you."

"I just want to go back to when she was five, and I was her favorite person."

Emma smiled. "Liam, you weren't ever her favorite, I was." She teased before shoving me back into bed and retreating to the bathroom once more.

"That's a thought that's going to fester!" I groaned pulling the sheets off of me and getting up.

No matter how much I tried to slow down the events of the day they kept unfolding before me, times relentless march taunting me. I took a breath standing in the church waiting for the music to start playing and the wedding guests to take their seat.

"Sir," a soft voice whispered towards me. I turned to see one of Maisie's bridesmaids standing there in her pale pink dress. I stepped closer as she whispered to me again. "She want's to see you before we get started."

My heart beat faster as my protective father brain started to formulate the worst situations in my head. I crossed through the church undetected by the guest as her bridesmaid led me to the back rooms. She knocked and opened the door ushering me inside quickly as if she held the door open to long birds would escape out the opening.

"Dad," Maisie's voice floated towards me as I turned to see her standing there in her wedding dress. My heart stopped. She looked so much like Emma did on our wedding day, I felt the tears fill my eyes, my little girl standing in front of me no longer a little girl but a beautiful woman. "Do you like it?" She twirled slightly showing off the dress, but I wasn't watching anything but the smile on her face.

"You look beautiful Maisie." I told her truthfully hugging her before I lost it and cried uncontrollably. "I love you."

"I love you too dad." She snuggled into the nape of my neck squeezing me tighter.

"All right, let's go get you hitched."

The music swelled loudly from the church as we took our spots in line behind the wedding party. I held out my arm for Maisie to hold as we began to walk down the aisle together, Dermot waiting with a smile at the end of the church, I glanced around at the faces of all the people we loved.

We reached the end of the row too quickly as Dermot came out to take Maisie from me, I pulled back her vail and gave her a kiss before handing her to him.

Emma smiled to me as I sat down beside her clasping her hand tightly in my own. "Breathe." She whispered to me leaning her head on my shoulder as we watched our daughter get married.

I kissed Emma on the top of her head as they said their vows trying not to cry more than I already had. The used balls of Kleenex sat of Emma's lap as she gave me one noticing me trying to hide my tears. "Dammit, I was trying to not use these." I whispered under my breath as I dabbed my eye quickly.

Emma leaned over. "You're doing better than he is," She nodded towards the grooms side of the church as I looked over seeing him holding his wife tenderly, two steady tear streams trailing down his cheeks, he glanced my way giving me a shrug. I smiled at him as we both nodded to each other the way father's of the bride and fathers of the groom only can. "He was alway more at touch with his feelings than you were babe." She teased me elbowing me softly in the side. I turned back smiling to her.

"I still got the girl."

"That you did Mr. Payne." Emma agreed with a big grin.

The preacher spoke loudly as we returned our attention to him. "Do you Maisie Roslyn Payne take Dermot Zayn Horan to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do." She smiled slipping a ring onto Dermot's finger. I chanced another glance over to Niall as he held Perrie's hand the two of them happier than I'd ever seen them before.

The happy couple marched down the aisle in celebration as we tossed rice around them cheering them on. I held on to Emma as we hung back for a moment while the rest of the guest began to exit. Perrie and Niall walked up next to us.

The four of us stood at the front of the church watching the procession move away from us. "Can you believe our kids are married?" Perrie asked linking arms with Emma.

"I never thought we'd end up here." I sighed. "The four of us together, happy, married and now officially family." I clapped Niall on the back as we hugged.

"We have so much to be thankful for." Emma nodded.

"Isn't that the truth," Niall agreed, "all that tragedy and heartache we went through all those years ago. This day, this moment, their marriage makes up for it in a way."

I smiled. "It's funny how all he tried to do was break us all apart and in reality the only thing Trey ever accomplished was bringing us closer together." I took Emma's hand in mine as Perrie and Niall hugged, then the four of us walked out of the church together.
