Aziz: Powerful, Respected, Beloved (BOOK THREE)

Chapter Five

I met up with Akiko in the evening time. I was waiting in a tree, playing with my sand when I heard footsteps. I peered down and saw Akiko slowly walking around, "Aziz? Aziz, where are you?" She called. I dropped from the tree right behind her, making her jump, "holy crap! You scared me, Aziz." She said.

"I'm sorry, Akiko. I'm glad you could meet me here." I said and she smiled at me, "What did you want to talk about, Aziz?" She asked.

I grinned at her, "How do you feel about going on a mission?" I asked. Her eyes widened and she grinned, "I would love to. Are you saying I'm going on a mission?" She asked and I grinned bigger, "I spoke to my father, and it took a lot of convincing, but he agreed to send you on a mission with me and my team. We don't leave until Uncle Konkuro and Yukon get out of the hospital." I explained and she grinned again, "Oh wow. Thank you Aziz." She said excitedly and hugged me tightly. 

I laughed, "I know you Akiko. You're an amazing ninja who can kick serious butt and who knows Medical Ninjutsu. You're the perfect teammate." I said grinning at her and she grinned back, her cheeks pink, "I'm so glad you thought of me Aziz." She said and I chuckled as I folded my fingers behind my head, "It isn't a problem. However you will need to train hard, Akiko. These nin are seriously strong from what Uncle Konkuro told me. We will need to be at our absolute best. Father is considering asking the Leaf for aid but Mother wants him to hold off until its absolutely necessary. I don't think we need any Leaf ninja here, we are all very skilled. But still, Father is worried. Anyway we will need to start on your shinobi Ninjutsu combat first, so if you're ready, we will begin." I said and she nodded, Right Aziz." She said smiling and I grinned again.

We found the training grounds and I looked at Akiko, "Alright Akiko, first show me what you can do." I said and Akiko nodded before making a few signs, "Water Style: Water Dragon!" She shouted. I made a sign with my hands, "Tanzanite Style: Tanzanite Wall!" I shouted. The wall blocked her attack and my sand snaked out and grabbed her leg. The sand threw her and I dropped my wall as I spoke again, "Sand Jutsu." I said and waves of my sand crashed into Akiko. She managed to get out but I reacted quicker, "Tanzanite Sand Trap." I said and my sand infused with Tanzanite came from the ground to trap her, "Tanzanite Sand Spears." I said. Spears made from Tanzanite and sand rained down on her. she managed to get away and I grinned, "Not bad, Akiko. Your Ninjutsu is really good so lets change it up. Shinobi Hand-to-Hand combat." I said and she nodded, "Show me, Aziz." she said. I nodded and approached her until I was standing in front of her. I took my stance and we began.

By the end, we were exhausted and sitting down under a tree. I smiled at Akiko, "You should consider taking the Chunin Exams this year. I believe you're ready, Akiko." I said and she blushed, "You really think so, Aziz?" she asked and I nodded, "I really do, Akiko." I said as we smiled at each other. I felt my face burn and I looked away, "Anyway, It's getting late. I'll walk you home." I offered and she nodded, "Sure, thanks Aziz." she said. I walked her home and up to her door "See you tomorrow, Akiko." I said, waving as I backed away. Akiko waved back, "Bye Aziz." she called and I turned and walked away smiling.
