Star Keepers: Rebirth

Chapter 13

The six of them walk into the amusement park, pushing against the crowd of people running in fear.

Hydra growls when he spots them. "Didn't I kill you?" He spits at Lupus.

"Guess it'll be harder than you thought." Lupus snaps back.

Hydra hisses, then breathes fire their direction. They split in two groups of three as they dodge the flames.

Cygnus, Lupus, and Corvus run to Hydra's left as Pegasus, Scorpius, and Orion run to his right.

Orion shoots arrows at the two heads looking his direction. Pegasus flies around one head, making it get twisted around another head as it watched her. Scorpius crawls up Hydra's leg and stings the neck of another head. Hydra lets out a roar.

Lupus bites at Hydra's legs as Corvus and Cygnus peck and kick at the other three heads. Pegasus flies over and takes Cygnus's spot, causing two heads to hit each other.

"Enough!" Hydra yells, and he creates a fire circling all around them.

"Be careful! There's no way out!" Orion says, shooting an arrow. "Hey, ugly!" He shouts at one of Hydra's heads. "What happened to your other eye?" Orion laughs as the head hisses.

It bends down and snips at Orion, but he dodges him. "Orion! Don't tempt him!" Scorpius warns.

Hydra swats Corvus out of the air, and he hits the ground hard. "Corvus!" Cygnus yelled, and swooped down to check on him. "Corvus?" He was still in raven form, his eyes closed. She turns back into a human.

"Ow." He says.

Cygnus chuckles lightly. "C'mon." She scoops him up in her hands, and tosses him up into the air to give him a head start, then she joins him in the air.

"Orion! Some help over here!" Pegasus calls, and Orion shoots an arrow straight through the throat of one of Hydra's heads.

Hydra shrieks in pain as blood oozes from the wound. He shoots an arrow through all the other's throats, and they all let out a horrible scream-like roar. Hydra stumbles backward, through his fire ring, and bumps into the Ferris Wheel. It creaks under the weight.

Lupus looks to Orion. "Easy, Legolas." Orion just frowns. "Remind me to introduce you to movies. They're great."

"Focus." Cygnus says.

Hydra turns back into his human form. Those who can fly over the fire ring. Orion, Scorpius, and Lupus ride on Pegasus.

"Surrender now, Hydra, before this gets worse." Scorpius said.

Hydra glares at them as he gets up slowly. "Why would I? Your powers belong to me!" He begins to drain the power out of Cygnus, but Lupus punches him across the face.

"Jesus, that hurt!" Lupus flicks his wrist.

"Did you do it right? Thumb on the outside." Orion asks.

"Of course I did it right. It's like he's made of metal." Lupus looks over his hand.

Pegasus goes over to grab Hydra, but he quickly grabs her by the throat.

"Let her go!" Scorpius yells, running over to help.

"Take one more step and I'll snap her neck like a twig!" Hydra said, and smiles at them.

Orion readies an arrow. "Don't you dare."

Hydra laughs. "Orion, you depend on that bow quite a bit. Let's see what you can do without it." He throws Pegasus at Orion, knocking his bow out of his hands. Hydra walks up to it and snaps it in half.
