June McCall

chapter 8

As the last bell of the day rang signalling the end of school, June ran out of school avoiding her maths class which Mr Ink would be in. As soon as she was out the schools doors she ran to the woods near her school and smiled and calmed down as she now walked through the calming woods. 

As she got further and further into the woods June Jumped in any mud puddles and stepped on as many crunchy leaves she could find, she walked across logs and fallen down trees humming a tune until she got to where she wanted. 

She looked up and smiled seeing the old  burnt down Hale house and sniffed the air smelling a familiar scent she once again smiled and ran up the porch steps and into the house. 

"June" 

Derek Hale said as he stepped towards June, June looked up to Derek her uncle and smiled. 
Derek hale wasn't really her uncle but she called him uncle Derek because her father Peter was his uncle. 

"Uncle Derek" 

June said happily and jumped into his arms, as she did this Derek held her in his arms and hugged her back with a rare Derek smile on his face. 

"Uncle Derek I have to tell you so much, Scott got bit and I think I know who the Alpha is but i'm not 100% sure yet" 

"I know Scott got bit, he and his friend were here looking for his inhaler, who do you think the Alpha is?" 

"My math teacher Mr Ink." 

"And what makes you think that June huh" 

"he knows what I am and he had the scent of a werewolf but it wasn't like he was a full werewolf" 

"June there is no such thing as a half werewolf you know what a alphas scent is and that's not it ok, you need to go home now June" 

" I know that you have the other half of Laura here Derek I  saw her when she came back, why didn't you come back with her?" 

"it doesn't matter why June ok you wouldn't understand, just go home." 

"Why didn't you and Laura take me with you when you moved?" 

" June we didn't take you because your dad is in the hospital here and we weren't able to take care of you June, you know that." 

"yeah but if you did take me, maybe just maybe Laura might be still alive." 

And with that June left the house and leaving Derek with thoughts swirling in his mind...
