Chapter Two

Rose Petal's p.o.v.

I zipped past my grandfather's old barn and up into the clouds. I was training myself to become the fastest Pegasus in Equestria. I flew past the windmill and by the bridge. I was building up speed as I went. I knew I could do it. I knew I could make a Sonic Rainboom, just like Rainbow Dash. I went on, faster, faster, faster... "Rosey!" Called my grandmother. I turned to see her below me. I waved to her and then crash! I ran right into the other windmill. "Oh gosh." I said and slipped down. Thankfully I wasn't that far from the ground. My grandmother flew over and helped me up. "Rosey, be more careful." She said. I just nodded, ready to get back to the skys. "Now, wait Rosey. You've got a letter." My eyes were as big as saucers now. "Is it...is it..?" My grandmother smiled and nodded. I took the letter and started reading it.

Dear Rose Thorn Petal, ( Ugh, I didn't really like my middle name)

We are pleased to inform you that we would like you to join our training group...

I read the letter and started hovering off the ground, flapping furiously. I had been chosen?! Oh my gosh, I had been chosen for the training group! I flew in circles around my grandmother. "Grandma Jet, I've been chosen!" She laughed then said "Well then, I guess you need to start packing." She was still laughing as I flew off to my room.

Sword Slash

I pondered around my room. Would I be chosen? I hadn't done that bad had I? As I walked around my room, my dog, Slush, started jumping on the bed. I didn't pay much attention to him. I was to worried about if I made it. I stared out the window at the clear blue sky. I looked back into my room. My mom wasn't home. She wouldn't notice if I went out to practice for a few minutes. I flew out of my window gracefully. The air felt great and the sun shone bright. I pushed around a few clouds for fun. Flying took my mind off whatever I was thinking before. I finally flew back in my room to find my mom standing there, tapping her hoof. I sat down. She sighed and handed me a scroll. She walked out of the room saying "Its from the Wonder bolts..." I tore open the scroll and started reading:

Dear Sword Slayer Slash (my name is awesome)

We are pleased to inform you that we would like you to join our training group...

My mouthed dropped. I made it! I zipped around my room and Slush started barking. I was so happy!
