Seulgi P.O.V

It's been two weeks since I've started talking to Irene, and still no reply, not even a word comes out of her mouth. What I know by now about her is that she's always silent, in class she doesn't participate and the teacher never asks her questions either, my classmates don't even talk to her, it's like she doesn't exist at all. It bothers me so much, she's being ignored by everyone and the teachers don't do anything.

I decided to be by her side until she becomes more comfortable talking to people, maybe because she's shy and nobody wants to be friends with her makes her insecure. My friends started to especulate that I like her and that's because I spend a lot of time with Irene but that's just not true; sure she's pretty but I only want to help her overcome her shyness.

I usually turn around and ask her if I can lend something and she kindly does but she's always wearing that expressionless face and something in her eyes tells me she doesn't like to be there. I ocassionally grab her hand or gently touch her fingers or compliment her in everything she does but the only thing i've got is a bit of uncomfortable movements and expressions so I guess she doesn't like that. I literally tried everyhting to make her feel more secure, with me at least but it's not working, she's just silent all the time.

The bell rang announcing the start of the recess, everyone started to take out their lunch and get together in their usual group of friends and leaving the clasroom. I took a look at Irene that was doing the same so I turned around and spoke to her.

"Hey, wanna lunch with my friends? Don't worry they don't bite, I would like for them to-" I couldn't finish my sentence because she inmediately ran away, she looked like she was abot to cry but that may just have been my imagination. I sigh loudly and rested my head on my arms until a hand slapped my back, I was about to give it back when I saw the crackheads I have for friends behind me. "Yo, did you get rejected by your girlfriend again?" Wendy laughed "Come on we don't want you to look depressed for the whole week" Yeri playfully sat on Irene's seat "Today is friday so we gotta go shopping after class, if you want you can take your Irene with us so you don't look sad" Joy was looking at her phone the whole time.

It's not that I will be sad for the week is that I feel so useless when it comes to Irene, she's so lonely and I know loneliness is not good... Could it be that she's still being bullied?. Anyways I decided to be by her side and I stand by that decision.

I was walking in the backyard of the school with my friends on the way to our usual lunch site when I saw Irene eating alone behind the benches of the baseball field I ran towards her calling out her name so she could notice I was there, we crossed looks and again she wore that surprised expression and ran away, I stopped a few metres away feeling so shocked.

Third Person P.O.V

-Why is Seulgi so obsessed with that girl? -Yeri asked-

-I don't really know but I think Seulbear likes her -Joy giggled-

-But isn't that girl mute? Has no one told Seulgi that yet? -Wendy whispered-

-Well I didn't want to ruin her dream of being her girlfriend, though. -Sooyoung stared at her back-

-She's MUTE what the hell?! -the blonde had to be shut up by the other two because Seulgi was approaching-.

Seulgi was so into her thoughts that she hadn't even touched her food, she wondered why was Irene running away from her the whole time. The other three started to worry about her, they silently planned a way for them to... Oh well Seulgi to talk to her again. They excused themselves and left her to go where they thought Irene had gone: behind the last building of the school, a place where no one went except Irene.

They found her there and surrounded her so she couldn't scape, something that made Irene scared to the point she would cry but she held it until she saw Seulgi running towards her. "Hey! Leave her alone!" she screamed and her friends immeadiately backed off.

Irene could notice Seulgi was worried to death, so much that she touched her arms asking if she was alright, her hands were cold and Irene didn't like to be touched so she pushed Seulgi away and ran again which made the plan go to waste. And there she was sitting on the ground with her face lowered down in defeat.

-Why aren't you going after her?

-Because she will run away again

-Are you dumb or what? Go after her and made her listen to you, you can do that right?

-I don't want to be rude to her, she's delicate and I'm afraid to make her cry

-There's no need to be forceful, though

-Go, don't lose the chance we gave you.

Seulgi got up and ran towards her
