"What are you doing here?" Emma asks. We were all out at Nandos, yes we skipped school, even Meridith. We had a good reason.

"Well, when a good friend of mine text me saying. 'I Miss you wish you were here.' I simply listen, and well now I'm here." Oscar laughs. Emma let's out a small giggle.

"Thank you." Em replies. I glance down at my watch.

"Guys, it's 4:30. We should start heading home." I exclaim.

"Okay." Emma says, getting up from her position on the chair, Meredith and Oscar follow as do I.

"I spy with my little eye, something beginning with...T." Oscar says, to the three of us.

"Taxi?"

"Tree?"

"T-Rex?" We all let out a laugh at Meredith's answer.

"What? I'm guessing." She protests, sticking out her bottom lip.

"Don't cry." I joke, poking her nose.

"I'm not crying." Meredith laughs, slapping my hand away.

~•Emma's POV•~

I looked up, why did I look up? About a block away, I see Kayla and her chums. I also see Connor, and his mates.

"Can we maybe go a different way home?" I ask, stopping in my tracks. Meredith looks at me then the direction I'm looking in.

"Hey, Jeremy." Meredith whispers something in his ear and he looks at me, then over to the group walking to us.

"That's the only way to our house Em, I'm sorry." Jeremy says. Oscar places a protective arm around my waist.

"What are you doing?" I whisper to him.

"I might be blonde, but I'm not stupid." Oscar smirks. I let out a laugh.

Okay so the reason I don't want to go this way is because of Kayla. She'll want to 'talk'. And, well I've had this massive crush on Connor for a while, it's really awkward. For me, I'm an awkward person. And on top of that, they both hate my guts. I rest my head on Oscar's shoulder, 'Don't notice me, don't notice me.'

"Hey Emma." An annoying voice rings in my ears.

"Hi." I mumble. Looking down, Oscar tenses beside me. I look up to see Connor looking at me, once I do he looks at the ground.

"Nice meeting you, Kayla. But we have to go. Bye." Meredith says, we all walk past them ignoring their giggles and smirks.

"Hey, Emma. How are your wrists? You still hacking at them?" Kayla says, giggling. I stop in my tracks, and turn around. Did she actually say that!? Plus how did she know? I glance over to Connor, he looks hurt? His Green orbs are dull, not the happy, cheerful ones I'm use to seeing.

I glance over to Jeremy, he looks pissed. I turn around and run off.

"Emma! Emma!" I hear Jeremy call. I don't listen, I just keep running.

I'm halfway home when it starts raining. I gave up running then, walking in the rain.

"Emma!" I turn around to see Oscar.

"Go away." I mumble, running my hand through my hair.

"No." Oscar says stepping closer to me. I flinch at his tone of voice.

"Emma I'm not going away ever. I love you, you mean the world to me, I'm sorry for leaving you, heck I'm sorry for ever leaving. Can't you see? Someone loves you, and that someone is me." Oscar says, stepping closer to me. I feel my cheeks burn up and butterflies erupt in my stomach.

"You love me?" I ask looking down.

"Do I have to spell it out for you. Yes, and for a fuckin' long time too." Oscar laughs, I let out a small laugh.

"Hey." Oscar lifts my chin up. I look into his ocean blue eyes.

"I'll never leave you." Oscar says, leaning in and brushing his lips against mine.

"Never?" I whisper, biting my lip.

"Never." Oscar whispers, kissing me.
