The first thing Hadrian did was find Marcus, they tested out the magical lock-down. He tried wandlessly summoning the vial of pain relief to himself from the bedside drawer, that still worked for him. Not Marcus, he couldn't do anything.

They then, tried to transfigure the broken wooden chair into a box but that neither of them could get is to work either.

So Hadrian and Marcus dropped onto the bed in mild anger. Neither of them couldn't believe Dumbledore had caught Hadrian with the knife. How did Dumbledore figure out he had a weapon? Hadrian decided he didn't want to know. It would only make him angrier. But with the pluse side the trouble of keeping his power and emotion was down some.

Hadrian and Marcus then spent the next three hours just sitting on the bed, playing cards Hadrian could transform for them. The pain in his scar spiked up once in a while. Some one is upset.

Hadrian was shuffling the deck for their umpteenth game, when there was a knock on his door. They both ignored it. But stopping when they heard the click as the door opened and two pairs of footsteps entered.

"Hadrian? Marcus?"

The soft voice made Hadrian cringe passing out the cards, Marcus looked around at Lily. She stood with James, holding two plates both filled to the brim with food, while James had two silver jugs. They walked further in inside, heading to the small bedside drawer. They placed the jugs of water, and the plates onto the drawer, struggling to balance everything in the limited space.

"We brought some lunch." Lily said, hesitantly. "You both must be hungry."

Neither of them responded and looked away, continuing on their game. Seeing they weren't going to leave Hadrian huffed pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Are you okay'?" Lily asked, walking around the bed, coming closer to Hadrian. "Headache'?" she asked with concern.

Hadrian looked up from his hands and glared coldly at her. "Just drop the act, okay!" he said, "It's getting old." James had followed behind Lily and was standing next to her.

"What act?" he asked with a frown. "What are you talking about?"

Hadrian straightened up, keeping a calm persona, he just wasn't ready for this.

"This annoying, fake, sugar coated façade you both have going on, just drop it!" he seathed. "I know what you really feel, so spare me the drama and just get out!"

"You know how we feel?" Lily asked, with wide eyes. "I doubt you know just how we feel, Hadrian."

The raven haired boy smirked at her, close to identical green eyes staring up at her. "You're disappointed," he said quietly. "I can see it. After years of believing I was dead, you both can't take it that I'm alive and breathing."

Lily looked outraged. She opened her mouth to speak but James beat her to it. "That's not true, Hadrian." he said, shaking his head. "Don't even think like that!"

Hadrian tilted his head to the side, scrutinizing James carefully.

James stared incredulously at him.

"Of course I am! Why would you even question that?" Hadrian continued watching him, green eyes fixed unwavering on him.

"Is that why you left me to an orphanage? Or better yet leaving me at all?" he asked.
James stilled, his words dying in his throat. He swallowed heavily, ashamed beyond belief.

"Hadrian, look" he started, "I don't know why they put you on the door step of that orphanage but it wasn't us. We searched for you after we were told you lived. Then Michelle..."

Hadrian nodded, smiling in victory and leaned back. "Just like I said, disappointed."

"No! Not like that!" James argued, "I..we... Please...we just got you back!"

Hadrian's eyes narrowed at James and he smirked angrily this time. "Still insisting on lying, I see." he said.

"We're not the ones lying to you." Lily said, stepping closer to Hadrian. "Whatever it is you think, it's not the truth" she said. "We love you, Hadrian. We always have."

Hadrian looked away, closing his eyes as his hand coming up to rub furiously at his forehead and he breathed out a heavy, frustrated sigh.

"Whatever you say." he muttered.

James crouched down, on his knees, so he was at eye level with Hadrian.

"Hadrian, please, just give us a chance. Let us explain..."

"I don't need an explanation." Hadrian cut him off, looking over at him.

"What I do need, is the both of you to get out."

"Why?" Lily choked emotionally. "Why don't you want to listen? We are your parents..."

"No, you're not." Hadrian interrupted again, his gaze hardening.

"Hadrian..." James started, reaching out for him. Hadrian moved away, getting to his feet in the blink of an eye. "Don't touch me!" he hissed, anger radiating from him.

"Hadrian, I'm not going to hurt you." James pleaded, rising to his feet also.

Hadrian only got angrier.

"Really?" he asked. James coloured as his aggressive behaviour yesterday came rushing back at him.

"I'm...I'm sorry" he said, looking sincerely at Hadrian. "The way I treated you yesterday, I wasn't thinking straight." He explained. "I didn't mean to... I never...I never meant to get you hurt." he tried to explain. "We just want a chance to meet you."

Hadrian raised his eyebrows at him. "Then why weren't you there when I woke up?" Silence followed, he had enough. He didn't want this right now. With little magic the glimors are slowly fading unless Hadrian sleeps. He curled in on himself "please just go...leave."

He slowly hear them leave closing the door after them. Then Hadrian broke. It was a mixture of fear, confusion, anger, and one he hadn't let him feel in a long time. Sadness and lost.

In the time of his brake down Marcus came to join Hadrian. After a breather for him since he hadn't seen his close to brother so broken before except only once. His father dying.

Marcus did what he knew and just sat with him while he cried into him. Soon never touching the food they both fell a sleep but before that Hadrian asked the one question on his mind "Why is it so hard?"

Marcus could only give what popped up in his mind "because life would be boring if it wasn't hard."
