----------------------------------------------------------------

Todoroki knew he fucked up the moment he started breaking into a run. But desperate times called for desperate measures. This was once in a lifetime moment, how could he possibly allow this chance to slip by? Hopefully, Midoriya was still waiting for him. The pounding of feet thundering behind only made the fleeing Royal quicken his pace. As he rounded the corner, the boy inhaled deeply, eyes widened as he nearly collided into a servant carrying a tray of unclean plates. Luckily, there was no collision to both the pair's reassurance.

"Sorry" the Prince muttered, barely glancing at the shaken girl before rising and continuing on his progression towards the Gardens. At his sides, pale fingers curled into sweaty fists, swinging forward as if the motion should make him any faster.

The Prince was ready to give in to the tiredness that was spreading in his limbs when he spotted through sprinting eyes, a mass of fluffy dark green hair standing at the entrance of the Garden's Gazebo, bathing in the moonlight. The person was hidden enough to be not detected bypassing guards yet enough for Todoroki to see him. There was only one person he knew that had Green messy hair.

"Please lend me strength" he hissed aloud, throwing himself forward with even greater determination. His lungs and heart were pumping, but the air didn't seem to be enough as he sprinted forward, desperation trembling in his exhausted limbs.

"Prince Midoriya!"

The owner of the green, tousled green hair spun around at the name. Emerald eyes that sparkled like jewels landed on the approaching figure with a tint of surprise.

"Y-You came" came the stuttering reply, making Todoroki's heart beat faster than it actually should. "Of course." Todoroki kneeled, bringing Midoriya's hand to lips. Not missing how the other royal blushed at the actions.

But the serene moment was cut short when the noise of yelling from the hallways caught both their attention.

"TODOROKI!" a female voice shrieked out enough to probably wake up the whole kingdom. The pair sweatdropped.

"Ah, shit" Todoroki grunted, stumbling up to his feet. He could have sworn he heard his knee bones crackling at the immediate movement. On the other hand, Midoriya couldn't help but giggle at the action. It was not every day you got to got see a flushed Endeavoran prince.

"It seems you have been caught out" Midoriya chided after managing to recompose himself. A gleam of merriment flashed in his eyes. Todoroki sighed.

"I did try my best to be quiet. But it seems nothing is going my way tonight. " Todoroki replied sheepishly, sending Midoriya an apologetic glance. The boy replied to the gesture with a simple, reassuring pat on the Todoroki's shoulder.

The footstep of the guards were starting to get closer to their location.

That was their cue to leave.

"Well, I do hope you have an escape plan." Midoriya's cheeks reddened slightly as he continued. "because I don't really feel like facing the wrath of Mom-I mean your servant..."

Todoroki solely chuckled at the boy's comment.

"Do you trust me?" Todoroki mused suddenly, shooting a sly glance in Midoriya's glance.
