Todoroki was munching like a grazing cow on a buttered piece of bread when the table shook at the violation of being slammed on by Midoriya's hands. Todoroki's eyebrows quirked.

"What's matter, Mido-Deku" Todoroki calmly asked, the munching morphed into nibbling. In case he had to prepare himself for a considerable discussion. It wouldn't hurt to take a sip of water to cool down his dehydrated throat — grave mistake.

"I forgot to add Kaachan to the list!" the boy cried in pure distress.
Todoroki choked, loudly enough that Midnight peered from out of the kitchen at them with concern. Midoriya smiled apologetically.

"Please tell me you're kidding about inviting..that guy," Todoroki wheezed once he had expelled most of the liquid from his lungs. Midoriya shook his head, sitting back in his chair.

"I know you two aren't on best of terms. But Kaachan is my childhood friend, and I'm sure he would be upset not to have received an invitation to this momentous event of my lifetime," Midoriya explained. Todoroki gave him a betrayed look and shook his head. Did his dear Midoriya not know about ill-proportioned remarks his supposed childhood's friend spat behind his back? Too bad he couldn't find the heart to tell him. So instead, Todoroki said:

"Seeing a half-naked man walking around the Amity ball isn't a very flatting image, Deku. Plus how the hell would he even get past the guards dressed as a barbarian?

Midoriya took great joy in giving the other a warning look, consisting of 'if you don't take that remark back, you will be rejected of any sexual contact until the passing of ball'. And boy, did that work.

"You know what. I'm sure we can persuade Bakugo to wear a suitable outfit for the ball".

Surely, it couldn't be that hard.

"Wow, look at the immediate change of attitude, "Midoriya cajoled, still smiling.
A considering noise escaped Todoroki's lips. "Anything for you," Todoroki eventually hummed, philosophical, and beamed when Midoriya's ears turned bright red. How cute.

"Well, since you are feeling so bold". Midoirya paused, turning to give the other Prince a forming smirk. Todoroki gulped. That smile was already telling him he wasn't going to like the next part of the sentence.

He was correct. He didn't like hearing the statement of "We are going to pay Kaachan a visit." Todoroki shuddered at the thought of his ears getting abused by the ludicrous yelling and the curses that invariably left the man's lips.

But the thought of spending more time with the Yuuei Prince, away from prying eyes was a bonus.

In the end, Todrooki found himself agreeing. Watching the other's face lit up with gratitude which in return made his heart go thump thump. Eventually, those small arms were encircled around his neck as a little kiss was placed on his pale cheek. Though, he would have prefered the lips.

Needless to say, the journey to the mountains didn't go as smoothly as Todoroki hoped. The first issue was the fact the pair had nearly gotten robbed in broad daylight. They had barely exited the forest before getting ambushed by some amateurs bandits
And to disappoint you, the fight ended in a sort of anti-climatic, thanked to Midoriya's quirk, thought Todoroki was just satisfied to be a witness to combat. To both their relief, the bandits didn't hesitate to flee the scene after being caught up in the excitement, clearly scared, but hopefully, the shock wouldn't last too long.
