Colin lost his color once again and stared at the message he received. It was cryptic, almost like it was from a different reality or a different timeline.
Kyle was the same way, his face was advisably white. He realized Colin had no involvement in what happened to his computer. He finally got the courage to mutter something. "What happened?"
Colin muttered under his breath. "Someone is pulling our strings."
A million different things ran under Colin's mind. He kept trying to tie everything together, but he couldn't.
"Kyle."
Kyle looks up from the floor. "No I'm not sleeping."
"What is the password for the domain for Outer Heaven?"
"I think it's something something revolution." Kyle gets up and looks at the website.
Colin goes to the webmaster page and attempts to login to the sign with the login.
"Incorrect login. Please try again."
He tries again with the other password he knows.
"Your account will be locked if you type in 1 more wrong password. Need help? Reset password here."
He gives up and goes to the Twitter page and attempts the same login on both of those pages, but the passwords don't work. He can't figure out what happened. Someone changed all of the passwords and he can't access them.
This is when Kyle realizes for sure that Colin had nothing to do with what happened. He suggests, "Try going to the website."
He goes to the website, and it's black, with a command line on it. He stares it down for a while.
Then it happened.
> HELLO COLIN_
"WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK." Colin shouts, Kyle reads the message that appeared. Kyle motions for Colin to get out of his chair. Kyle attempts to speak. "Hello?"
The line does nothing.
Kyle tries typing it out.
> WHO ARE YOU_
Kyle clicks enter and noises come from the speakers as the command is written.
> THAT ISNT IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW. WHAT MATTERS IS I HAVE COMMUNICATION WITH YOU_
Kyle decides to be a smart person about this.
> I AM NOT PLAYING THIS GAME WITH YOU TELL ME WHO YOU ARE_
The command line is quiet for a moment. Then a message types out.
> MY IDENTITY IS USELESS RIGHT NOW BUT I AM RELATED TO THE OUTER HEAVEN COMMUNITY. THERE WAS A PHASE OF THE PROGRAM THAT WAS NEVER EXECUTED. WE ARE RETURNING TO SPEARHEAD IT. YOUR MASTERS FROM THE FIRST PHASE RAN THE PROGRAM AND RECRUITED YOU TWO TO SUCCEED THEM IN THE NEXT PHASE OF THIS PROGRAM_
Colin takes the keyboard from Kyle. Kyle shouts "WAIT."
"Give me a second Kyle. I think I have a idea." He begins to type.
> WHAT INVOLVEMENT DID YOU HAVE IN PHASE ONE AND WHO WERE YOU. DID WE KNOW YOU AT ANY POINT. WE ONLY DID A ROLEPLAY WITH A SKYDOESMINECRAFT PLOT TO IT_
The computer speaks out a very long and detailed messages.
> THAT WAS A COVER UP. I WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. NO. WE DID NOT MEET PERSONALLY. WE DID NOT SPEAK. HOWEVER. I AM NOT ONLY THE PERSON BEHIND PHASE ONE. I AM THE PERSON BEHIND OUTER HEAVEN AS A WHOLE. THIS TRANSMISSION IS TO RECRUIT YOU TWO. WE HAVE A MESSAGE FROM THE FUTURE TO RETURN TO YOU. DO NOT ASK HOW WE PERFORM SUCH THINGS AT THIS TIME. LETS JUST SAY WE ARE FROM THE FUTURE AND FROM ANOTHER PLANET_
Kyle can't take it anymore. "SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THIS IS JUST SOME WEIRD STARSET FAN FICTION TROLLING US? THAT'S JUST GREAT." The computer begins to type as if it heard him.
> WE ARE NOT RELATED TO THE STARSET SOCIETY. THEY ARE IN A DIFFERENT SYSTEM. THE PEOPLE OF EARTH DO NOT KNOW OF US_
Colin types out, even though he can speak and it will hear him.
> WHAT IS IT YOU WANT US TO DO AND WHY WAIT 6 YEARS. COULDNT YOU JUST SEND A POSTCARD OR SOMETHING_
The computer responds.
> YOU WERE NOT READY TO UNDERTAKE SUCH A MISSION. WE HAVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE YOU TWO. THERE ARE TWO MORE INDIVIDUALS THAT NEED TO BE INFORMED OF THIS. THEY WERE CONTACTED IN THE 1980S. THE BINARY CODE HAS THE COORDINATES TO THESE SUBJECTS HOMES. WE REQUIRE YOU TO INFORM THEM_
Colin is confused. Before he can ask why the compute couldn't just do what they did to them. The console shuts down. One final transmission is sent.
> DO NOT SPEAK OF THIS TO ANYONE OR THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES. INFORM THESE SUBJECTS AND BRING THEM TO YOUR LOCATION. THAT IS ALL. GODSPEED_

Colin looked Kyle in the eye, who was silent the entire time. "What do we do now?"
"I don't know what we are up against, but we need to inform the others."
