"Cmon Riley, we gotta find that mouse Mama hid!" "I'm tryin! I can smell it, I know it!" Riley kept digging as best she could into the ground, her eyes squinted against the dirt that flew into her face. "Riley! Cmon, we gotta go, we can't dig around randomly!" "I can smell it, Hobbes, we gotta-" "Uh... R-riley?" The she-cat looked up. "What?" She answered before seeing a large white cat standing over her. "... excuse me?" The cat said, obviously a she-cat. "I-I'm sorry! P-please don't-" "I wasn't going to hurt you little one. But that in there is a rabbit. Not a mouse."
Riley backed off, stepping back. The she-cat dipped her head into the hole, pulling out a dead rabbit. "Thank you, young one." The cat said before padding off into the forest. Hobbes caught Riley's attention quickly. "Riley, it's gettin dark..." "We can find that mouse tomorrow, let's just go home..." Hobbes, surprised, nodded, and walked back to their den with his friend.
