"Dapplepaw, you are going to go on a solo hunting trip tonight. "Okay, Cinderbird!" The tortoiseshell tom smiled at his mentor, sitting by the fresh-kill pile. Glimmercloud padded over. "Cinderbird, may I speak with you?" The dark gray she-cat looked over at the deputy before hissing. "Yes, Glimmercloud." "Do not give me attitude."Of course. My mistake." Cinderbird stood up, following Glimmercloud over to an area where nobody could hear them as Dapplepaw watched, standing up. I can't wait, she'll be so proud of me! He thought before padding into the apprentice's den to sleep.
Cinderbird led the tom into the night, far enough away from the camp that they wouldn't wake anyone up. "We're here. Now go hunt, and bring back 4 kills." "Yes, Cinderbird!" She watched as Dapplepaw raced off into the forest before silently following, smirking to herself. "Poor little fool..."
