Tsunayoshi "woke up" with a splitting headache. "Ow... What happened..." "Here." A finger poked the brunet's head and the pain dissipated. Brown eyes blinked twice as he smiled, "Thanks..." He trailed off when he saw the person in front of him. In a yukata. With an umbrella. "Hiiiieeee!" Tsuna shrieked his infamous shriek and stumbled backwards in surprise. Then he smiled sheepishly, "Ah, sorry, I was a little surprised there." Then his eyes narrowed in confusion, "But what did you do?" The silver haired man chuckled at the young boy's question and obvious confusion. Then something a little darker, more malicious, flashed in his eyes. Tsunayoshi's eyes caught it and it put him on guard. He stood up to meet the weird man.
"Why am I here?" He asked the million dollar question as he observed his surroundings. It was strange and surreal. They were in a forest and it was a pitch black sky. They were in a clearing and there were nine different paths leading away, each spaced equal amounts from each other, encircling the entire clearing. One was orange, one was red, one was blue, one was purple, one was indigo, one was yellow, one was green, one was pitch black, and one was a dark mix of all of them. The last one was a cliff? It just ended abruptly with black around it. The fact that there was no sound of life in the forest around them immediately sent red flags through him mind. The man smirked with mirth and then proceeded to speak for the second time.
"You are in a pocket dimension. One set up by the Tri-ni-sette." Tsunayoshi's hyper intuition rang when he heard the last word. "W-what do you mean by that..." Tsuna wavered in anticipation. "Would you like some ramen?" Tsunayoshi in his cloud of confusion could only nod slightly, really baffled. He didn't even realize the man leading him to a table with a bowl of steaming ramen until the man spoke again, "You have been chosen for a very special role." Tsunayoshi sat down at the man's prodding. "Special role? What kind of role?" The silver haired man let out a smirk and sat lazily across from him. The table and chairs were sturdy and made of a solid, dark wood. The steam from the ramen wafted in the air, the table lit only by a sole lantern.
Tsuna merely lifted a brow. "You are a very special boy, I actually find it quite strange that nobody around you has realized that. You have a particular... aspect about you. You know about deathperation flames, correct?" Tsunayoshi nodded, having paid attention in class despite taunts and jeers. "Well, do you know which flames you have?" Tsunayoshi froze, remembering the cause of the intense harassment at his current school. He lowered his gaze solemnly and spoke dejected, "I... I don't have any flames..." He trailed off in shame before jolting up in surprise at the barking laughter originating from the man in front of him. Tsunayoshi was actually surprised from the loud laughter coming from the man. He hadn't expected it.
"Dear, it's because nobody woke up your flames." Tsuna paused and blinked, unable to process the sentence. "...Wake up my flames?" Tsuna repeated in a daze. Does that mean this whole time he had flames? This entire time he had flames and he had gotten beat up for no real reason at all?! "Your family must've been so busy with your older brother that they didn't even bother." Okay, now that just stung. "How do you know anything about my family?!" Tsuna questioned, quite offended if anything. His parents loved him... right? Even though they spent a lot of their focus on Giotto, it made sense because he was growing up into a really important position. Right?
"Eat the ramen, it will make you feel better." Tsuna then asked, "How do I know it's not poisoned?" The man's face filled with mirth as amusement laced his tone. "I would have no reason to do as such." Tsunayoshi's hyper intuition rang true and he slowly picked up the spoon. He had to admit that it was the most delicious ramen he had ever tasted, golden broth and noodles and all. A hint of lemon and cilantro accompanied the taste wonderfully. Tsunayoshi finished the bowl and spoke his thanks. "Now about the flames I will soon awaken."
Tsunayoshi's head swirled with thoughts as the man continued. "Your affinity is sky, and your quite a pure and powerful one as well." Tsuna starred in flat out disbelief with a raised brow. "Are you messing with me? Who put you up to this?" The weird man, with a straight face and almost cold voice, responded, "Nobody put me up to this. What I'm saying is the truth. My job to to awaken your flames since you have been chosen as the sky arcobaleno." Tsunayoshi froze, he had heard about the arcobaleno. The I Prescelti Sette. The Strongest seven. This was all happening way too fast. How was he to be the sky arcobaleno? He thought that Aria's daughter Uni would have the pacifier passed onto her. He had heard from his brother who was close to the sun arcobaleno, Renato Sinclair or "Reborn" as some would call him.
"The arcobaleno were given immortality of sorts, as their flames fed the pacifiers, which would then return the tri-ni-sette, stabilizing it." Ice streamlined through Tsuna's blood at the insinuation. "Wait... That means..." Kawahira's eyes then turned colder than he had ever seen in someone's eyes. Tsunayoshi's eyes widened as Kawahira responded, "Your flames will feed the sky pacifier until you pass in one year from now. Your flames will be called upon by the tri-ni-sette to return, and you will simply fade out of existence." Tsunayoshi trembled. He had a death date now? "That's unfair! I refuse to be condemned to be such an end! I don't even get a choice?!" Kawahira smiled icily, "Nobody gets a choice when it comes to the tri-ni-sette, not even I, the administrator." Tsuna flinched at the words, but duly noted down that he was the administrator in that back of his mind.
"I will release your flames as you leave, so once you wake up with the pacifier, you will have active flames." Still indignant however, "I can very well choose to die however I want to!" Tsuna all but yelled. A bit of amusement filled his smile again. "Well either way, from now on, your lost flames will return to the tri-ni-sette." Tsuna's eyes narrowed, "Oh fuck you and your delicious ramen, Kawahira." His last breath a huff as Kawahira placed his hand on his forehead with a smile and everything turned black.
Kawahira's smile faded as the boy left. "Some things, nobody can control. Not even I." His eyes glazed with nostalgia and indescribable emotions.
