Bill wakes up in a hospital bed, with an I.V. at his side. A nurse with blue scrubs on walks in, eyeing Bill with sympathy.
"Well, Mr. Nye," Says the nurse, "you look fine. We can get you home in no time." Bill Nye looks over at the nurse with a sudden realization. "Actually, I don't have a home anymore."
At that moment, a helicopter starts towards the window. The blades of the copter create a thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, that crescendos until it reaches a deafening roar right outside the window. The glass shatters, and Bill jumps out of the bed. As he walks over towards the window and over the chipped glass, a ladder descends from the helicopter. Bill grabs hold of it as he steps off the windowsill. He pulls himself up the ladder and into the helicopter, ignoring his IV because it doesn't matter in the story anymore. The men in the helicopter hand him a pair of black aviator sunglasses that he puts on.
"I don't need a home! All that matters is that I'm saving lives!" Bill shouts at the nurse who's frozen in place in shock. Bill closes the sliding door to the helicopter, and they swiftly soar away until they're no more than a minuscule dot above the horizon
A man in a suit walks up behind Bill.
"Welcome to the Secret Service, sir," he says. "Do you have any ideas?"
Bill pauses for a moment. "Do you know where Neil DeGrasse Tyson lives?"
THE END
For now.
