Chapter 10

A/N: So I have decided to put the Percy Jackson twist on the plot so keep reading don't hate me.  

Jacks POV

I have not been totally honest with Brook. He may think he knows all my secrets but the only reason I'm here is because he's a fellow demigod and I have to keep an eye on him until he gets claimed. My godly parent is Poseidon the god of the sea. Brook, I already know he is the son of Apollo because just look at him his blond hair his green eyes I fell in love with. Also he is kind of always happy and oddly loves haikus.  

When I first met him all I wanted to do was tell him but I can't he's already in danger because he is around me. Brook and I are currently in Germany and we stopped in a bookshop because he wants to learn German saying that he has dyslexia maybe this language might work out better. He already knows the modern Greek language. 

But he doesn't know that he also knows Ancient Greek. He picks up a book and the outside of the cover is in Ancient Greek it says. A book of haikus for the sons and daughters of Apollo. He picks it up and opens it, the page he has opened it to shows a sword. I look up to the shelf and see the same sword sitting right there. Its a 5 foot long celestial bronze sword and in engraving it says Ivlivs. On the tag it says, 

Dear Brook, 

This was the sword of a great demigod, my son, your brother. Jason Grace.  He has died and now I am giving it to you. Don't let me down son. It is a very powerful sword use it wisely. 

                                                                         From your father, 

                                                                 Zeus the god of lightning 

P.S: Jack will explain everything to you trust him everything he says is real. 

"Holy shit." That is all I could say. 

"Jack what does this guy named Zeus saying that he is my father and that you will explain everything to me. And why does he trust me with a sword? Why do I even have a sword and why is it my brother's? Wait my brother has died? Jack say something." He said with anger and sorrow. He is now in tears. 

"Brook listen to me. You know about Greek gods and demigods right?" 

"Yes." He replied nodding his head frantically. 

"All that stuff its real. There are thousands of kids and people like us. You and I just are the kids of the two of the most powerful gods in the universe."

"Jack what does all this stuff mean?" He said looking quite nervous. 

"Brook you are the son of Zeus the king of all the Greek and Roman gods. And I'm the son of Poseidon brother of Zeus and god of the sea." 

"So all that stuff is real?" 

"Yes Brook?"

"So my whole life has been a lie. My Dad wasn't even my Dad he was just a person that I wasn't related to. Jack are you my actual friend or are you just a person to teach me all this stuff?"

"Actual friend Brook."

I heard giant rumbles of something it wasn't thunder because the ground shook and people in the book store start ducking for cover. People outside start running in for cover thinking its an earthquake. I look out the window all I see is the minotaur. 

"Brook grab the sword will yuh." I said kind of in fear. He grabs the sword and holds it up because I know he sees it to. 

"Brook just follow my lead ok." He nods frantically because he's in to much shock to even talk. 

I start running towards the sword and start slashing its legs and Brook does the same. I look for a  brick wall knowing already how to kill it. I look around trying to find it but can't. I later see a memorial wall made out of concrete in the distance. I start sprinting towards Brook right next to me. The minotaur bends down and starts charging towards like a bull full speed. 

"Brook on my go go right and I will turn left." I say. 

"Jack why that thing is gonna kill us if we do that." He screams. 

"Brook now turn right." I scream. 

He does exactly what I say he turns right and I turn left. The minotaurs horn gets stuck in the concrete he managed to get it off of its head though. The minotaur steps back and screams in agonizing pain. Brook he's just standing there sword in hand. 

"Brook get the horn now." 

"He manages to pull it out with a little bit of struggling. He's now holding it just looking at it. 

"Brook stab it in the stomach."

He does exactly what I say. The minotaur now on the ground dead. 

"Jack its dead why did you make me kill it Jack why?"

"Because it was going to kill us." 

"What was that thing?"

"Brook its a minotaur and now since monsters are trying to eat us alive we have to get you to Camp Half-Blood."

"Why?" 

"It the only place on Earth that is safe for people and kids like us." 

"Ok where is it?"

"New York. Well the Long Island Sound."

"NEW YORK!" 

"Yes Brook. Come on we have to hurry if we are going to make the train to the airport."
