Final Chapter

15 years in the future 

Jacks POV 

It has been 15 years since the last time I saw Brook which was when we toured around Italy with my friends. The band didn't last long after I left maybe only a couple months to a year. My sister ended up getting adopted by our family in NYC and years later she went on to marry a man named Brian and they have wonderful children a boy named Joshua and a girl named Julia. They are twins at the age of 5. 

I ended up going to medical school and became a surgeon. I gave up on music once I left the band because its not a stable job and I want a family of my own. I know that surgery is not that stable with the hours but at least my wife is one too. I run the trauma department while she runs the neurosurgery department. Her name is Maggie. She is beautiful, wonderful, smart, and a fantastic mother to our children. We have a boy named Ashton (8) and a girl Maverick (4). I couldn't ask for a better family than what I have right now and will have forever.  

I always wondered what Brook was doing though how he was doing. I wonder if he has a husband and children. 

Brooks POV 

Once the band broke up I continued with the path of music. I switched my genres from pop to alternative/rock. I got my first gig and that was opening for Panic at the Disco in the United States. I then opened for Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Ice Nine Kills,etc. I have come so far from where I was in Roadtrip. I became one of the largest musicians and influencers in the world and I became a producer helping kids find their way. And telling them to finish high school because some people will not be so lucky as I am. I am happy the band broke up though, knowing the industry and how tough it is on people. We wouldn't have made it. 

I never married but I have a kid of my own and am fostering two. I always want people to have some type of figure in their life that they can just turn to in need. If they are in their teens and they are drunk and they can't drive home I want them to be able to call me and I will go and pick them up and not saying a word about them being drunk. 

But I miss Jack. I have never spoken to him since that trip we took with his friends well now my friends as well.I kept in touch with some of them like Elio and Luca. We talk every so often but we try to call each other every couple of weeks. But I have never called Jack never talked to him and haven't seen him. I still have his contact its in my favorites too. I think its just a comfort type thing I guess knowing that its there is all I did. 

But I call it. 

Third POV 

J-Hello, who is this?....

B- Hi Jack.

J- Brook. How are you it felt like ages since I talked to you. 

B- It has been ages Jack. Its been 15 years since Italy since...

J- Since I left, since the band broke up. 

B- But I'm good I have a stable job I am a music producer and own a big label company. 

J- I am so proud of you Brook. I became a trauma surgeon and run the department at my hospital. 

B- Congrats Jack. Im sorry I don't know what to say to you anymore what to tell you. 

J- Its ok Brook...

They stayed in silence for a couple minutes. 

B- Jack you still there?

J- Im still here Brook. 

B- I miss you...

J- I miss you too. 

B- I love you.

J- I love you more. 

And the call ends.
