NCT Doyoung fanfic
Everyone has their happy place, whether it be the beach, the library, or a cat café. Hers however, is her roof.
When a new family moves into the house behind Melody's, she come to find a new and quite hostile roofmate. His name is...
Doyoung kept walking ahead of me. "That's great," he replied.
I ran up to him and said, "Come on, let's stop at this coffee shop. It's on the way back. And they have sandwiches."
There was silence for a moment before he said, "Fine. But you pay."
"Ugh, fine," I said, but smiled, still happy I would get food.
We walked to my favorite cafe with my favorite sandwiches and favorite coffee. I opened the door and was greeted by the greatest aroma ever created by (wo)man. We ordered our food and sat down at a table off to the side. Doyoung took a sip of his iced Americano as we waited for our sandwiches to be ready.
"How is it?" I asked, leaning forward.
Doyoung shrugged and said, "Not as rich as I'd like, but it's okay."
I frowned, sitting back and inquired, "Is it impossible for you to give compliments?"
He ignored me and went on his phone.
I looked around the cafe until our food was finally ready. I brought it to our table and gave Doyoung his sandwich. That's when I noticed he was smiling. But not at me of course. He was still staring at his phone. I peeked at the screen and saw a picture of Instagram of two guys. One of them I recognized as Doyoung but I'd never seen the other.

"Who is that?" I asked, pointing to his phone. He pulled his phone away from me at first but then responded.
"My brother, Gong Myung."
I smiled and said, "You must really miss him."
Doyoung nodded and looked down. I saw his hands were still on the table, so without thinking, I reached across the table and placed my hand on his to comfort him.
As soon as I did, he jerked his hand away and narrowed his eyes.
I huffed, crossing my arms, and leaned back in my seat. I picked up my sandwich and started eating. Doyoung grabbed his sandwich and began eating. We ate in silence, occasionally shooting glares at each other. The walk back home was the same.
When we got back, Mom was sitting on the porch, reading a book. She stood up when she saw us and smiled.
"How was it?" she asked Doyoung.
"It was very nice," Doyoung said, smiling. I almost scoffed. This two-faced, lying, and strangely attractive demon. The demon turned to me and continued, "And I think, thanks to Melody, I'll be able to find my way around just fine." He smiled his gummy smile at me and turned back to Mom.
She laughed, pleased at this act Doyoung was putting on and gestured to the front door, "Please, come inside."
Doyoung politely held up a hand and said, "Oh, no I wouldn't want to bother you."
