I paid the man as fast as I could and shut the door. I threw the pizza on the living room table and dashed for the kitchen. As I ran in there I saw Zoe in a ball in the corner of the kitchen with a terrified expression.
"Zoe what's wrong? Why did you scream?" I asked her while kneeling beside her
"Look in the box" she managed to say while sniffling back tears so I didn't see her cry.
I walked to the box hesitate about what I would find in the box. I pulled back the flaps and was relieved to see it was only just a couple of frogs, but when I took a closer look they seemed to dead. What the Fuck! Who the hell sent me dead frogs. That is just wrong and disgusting.
I grabbed the box and walked to the dumpsters behind my apartment to throw them out, but right before I tossed them I saw a note. I grabbed it before walking back inside.
Once I got back inside I walked into the kitchen and saw Zoe sitting in a chair instead of on the floor in the corner. I got a letter opener and sat down across from Zoe.
I opened the letter but in stead it was a picture and a small note. It was a picture of Zoe standing in the hallway earlier and me standing in the door way. I didn't know what to think of this so I read the little note " Be careful" was all the note said. Well that's just dumb.
I stood up to throw it away but instead put it in the drawer under the table with my pistol. I don't know why I kept it but something was telling me that I should not throw that away. I walked over and sat by Zoe.
She seemed like she was lost so I just sat there for a minuet waiting but when she didn't say anything I decided to start the conversation.
"You ok" I asked her
"Yeah it's just I'm not very fond of seeing dead animals in a box at my cousins boyfriends house." she said
"Ok. Well do you have any idea about who did this or who would want to get revenge on you just anything." I asked
"No I just moved down here I don't know anybody down here except you, Peyton, Luke, and a few other people." She said looking over at me with a desperate look on her face
"Who are these other people you know?" I asked with a questioning look on my face
"Ummm I think there names are Josh, Devin, Louis........."
"Louis who. What's his last name." I asked frantically
"I think his last name is Tomlinson. Louis Tomlinson yeah that sounds right why." She said. Now she was the one with a questioning look on her face.
"He is very dangerous. When you are near him be very carful about what you do ok." I said with a very stern voice.
"Ok but can you tell me why he is so dangerous. He was very nice and sweet when I met him." She said
"Well he may seem nice but he is cold hearted I promise ok just be carful ok. For me." I said
"Ok I will." She said back still looking pretty confused.
After we talked for a little bit and she showing me pictures of her apartment ,we finally started to get hungry again. I went and turned the over on and put the pizza in the oven to cook.
