Indulgence

I'm gasping for air
Crawling and dragging my body
When will you realize I'm not happy
with myself

Pill after pill
I'm hit with desperation
Crying out to the empty atmosphere
Looking for something

For someone
I can't seem to get ahold of
She's so far and out of reach
I can't handle the distance

Our heartbeats should have intertwined
Into one beat
Feel the blood rush through
Our veins simultaneously

But come up together
Empty handed
Empty words
Where are you?

I'm in desperate need of your love
I need your touch
Your voice
Talk me down

I haven't found you quite yet
But the spark in my heart
Connects like twin telepathy
Unnoticeable

Heart palpitations when I see you in the mirror
As you touch the glass
I choke on the air

Realizing you will become I
No more we, no more us
Just me
Fighting the path, you're leading me

Nowhere...empty streets
Broken lamp lights
I learned from the best
To become flat out nothing, into something

And give a response
Other than "I'm fine."
