Why? - So this version of events has pretty much been abandoned. I lost whatever spark made me love this story all those years ago (ew! Nearly a decade! I'm old :( ) in the first place & decided to just start over with fresh characters and a fresh story.
I wound up writing Strays to counter all the things I shied away from in Wildfire so if you are interested in reading more urban fantasy/dark stuff from me, I would recommend that one. It's posted and complete.
