Chapter 17

Call It Quits

Sarah came into my room with a plate of food since i didn't eat dinner.

She quietly knocked on the door.

"Go away.." i moaned.

"No thanks, here, eat." She said as she sat next to me on my bed and pushed the plate towards me.

"I rather starve" i mumbled and turned around so my back was facing her.

She sighed.

" I'm sorry....I... i didn't know..."

I turned around and sighed, " i am too"

We looked at eachother and smiled, making us laugh. We hugged and--

THAT'S WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL!!!

Sarah's muffled ringtone turned on. She grabbed it from her back pocket.

It was a text from a andom number:

Hey Sarah,

Listen, i really like you. You seem like my type of girl. Text me your address, I'll pick you up in an hour to the cafe downtown. See you then :)

Love, Joshua

Sarah rolled her eyes at the text. I lightly pushed her shoulder.

"Just go" i fakely smiled

She looked at me in confusion

"You sure?"

"Yea.." i sighed," Its about time i let go..." i looked down.

She smiled and hugged me. She whisphered in my ear

"Thankyou"

Then she went off to the bathroom and got ready, i heard some clicks from her phone, she must have been texting Joshua. In 50 mins Sarah comes to my room looking beautiful as always. She spinned in a circle

"Do i look good?"

"Yea," i smiled,"Joshua's gonna love you"

She wore a beautiful purple short dress and some matching heels. Knowing Joshua loved the color purple, i knew she would be his dream girl...

A car honked outside and we looked out the window. It was him...

She hugged me good bye and ran down the stairs. I watched from the window as she got into his car and kissed his cheek. They drove off and i sighed...

I called my best friend Gina and she rushed off to come over. She came into my room and saw the river flowing down my eyes...

She ran to me and hugged me as i cried. "Its okay, Alice..."

Soon we went of to go to the coffee shop to see Michelle. We got into my car and drove.

Soon we saw Joshua at the cafe next door. I hid behind the wall

"Crud!"

We sat at the table closest to theirs not relizing what we were doing.

40 mins passed and the were just laughing and flirting, just getting to know eachother. Then.... my world fell apart. I stopped and felt my eyes getting blurry... Joshua leaned in and kissed her for a long time....i looked away after about 3 mins .

"What am i doing...."

"Hey, Alice?"

"You gonna stop them or what?"

"No.... im gonna go.."

"What why?"

"Its hard.... it hurts so much that i might just die here.... im going..."

I got up as soon as a tear ran down my face. I told Gina to go with Michelle and left..

I got home layed in bed and texted Michael to meet me tomarrow, i was going to do something tomarrow that would hopefully change my feelings about Joshua...

I whisphered," Its time for me to let go......Goodbye...Joshua..."
