Hermione's POV

"Ron I don't think it could have been anything else" Hermione repeated for the seventh time her theory to Ron about what just went down in the corridor. "Hermione even if it was a love potion he was rather drunk might that cancel out the effects of the potion." Ron through in another possible explanation he however had information Hermione didn't and was already convinced that Harry was sober enough to have kissed Malfoy willingly.

The portrait entrance to the Gryfindoor common room flung open and the two shot up expecting to see their best friend standing in the door slightly drunk. Needless to say they were disappointed when Ginny and Neville walked. It must have show on their faces because Neville asked

"Expecting someone?" Hermione spoke before Ron could .

"Draco Malfoy ran off with Harry" Ginny looked like Hermione had just slapped her across the face.

"Oh, and not before he kissed him"Ron added. This time Ginny looked like her brother had shoved some disgusting substance down her throat and she wanted to bring it back up.

"Aren't you two still dating?" Neville asked.

"Well no we decided it was just a thing in the moment we were scared of dying by Voldemort's hand and wanted something to hold onto." Ginny explained to Neville who apparently not been informed about their brake up.

"Hermione thinks it was a love potion but taking everything into consideration. Harry's behaviour before the dance the fact he brought Malfoy in the first place and.." Ron stopped ,remembering Harry's harsh words of warning saying it would be in his best interests to keep his trap shut. Ron bit his lip but continued. "I found him with Malfoy in the tower two weeks ago"

They all looked shocked but Neville was the first to speak.

"Well no matter what Harry will eventually have to come back to the tower lessons start in three days" After a little more discussion the four decided to call it a night and went to bed. They didn't anticipate what would happen next

Sorry this took so long to publish I have been doing stuff so I haven't had much time to write I had an idea about ending this story that will leave it open to a sequel so expect that next.
