Chapter Twelve: The Help of a Villain

The Next Day...

We all waited for that door to open up. Once it did, Hades came in with the guards, and he was handcuffed. Mal walked right up to father and stayed calm. "Thank you for coming...", she said to him. "Didn't have much choice.", Hades stated. Jim held onto me tightly, considering the fact that he was a bit terrified. But for me, I just stayed calm. "Can you wake her?", Ben asked Hades. I looked at Hades face and saw that he was smiling at what Ben asked. "Since when do heroes care about villains?", he asked. I then took a breath and looked up at Hades. "Well, she's-", I said until I was cut off. "One of your own?... Hahaha!!! When you guys tried to destroy the world, this is an error in judgment. But, when it's one of us, lock them up and throw away the key. Am I right, Beast?", Hades explained to us. After he did, he held up his arms and got released from his cuffs. Mal took them off, and he asked her for the ember. She then gave it to him, and we all saw Hades hair flaming in blue fire. "I haven't lost my touch.", he said with a smile. He then walked up to the king and growled at him like an animal. Not just that, but the king started to growl like the beast he used to be. "Dad!", Mal said. "Uncle Adam!", I said. The both of them then stopped growling, and Hades walked over to Audrey. He then used the ember in his hand and waved it around Audrey. Suddenly, the room began to turn bright blue, and Audrey woke up. We were all surprised after what just happened. "You happy?", Hades whispered. Queen Leah checked on her granddaughter, and Audrey looked at all of us in confusion. "Please tell me that it was all a nightmare....", she said to us. "I wish I could.", Ben told her. Audrey then began to feel guilty about what she's done, and looked at me, Mal, and Ben again. "I'm sorry... I wanted to hurt you both... I wanted to hurt all of you...", she explained to us. She mostly explained it to everyone, and we all looked a bit down. Mal walked up to her and held her hand. "I have owed you an apology, for a very long time now...", she said as Audrey smiled at her. "And so have I...", Ben said to her. "Me too...", I said while walking up as well. "And perhaps, I have owed you one too.", Queen Leah said to Mal. Mal then bowed down to her and smiled. After she did, I gave the queen a hug. I was so happy that things were finally back to normal. After hugging the queen, the guards took Hades out of the room. I saw Mal running out the door, and heard her talking to her dad. "I'm going to have to miss you all over again.", she told Hades. "Thanks for a glimpse of the sun.", he said to Mal. I walked out the room for a second and saw Mal giving her father a kiss goodbye. I was so emotional at this point, I couldn't help but cry in tears of joy. As the guards took Hades away, I saw him give Mal back the ember before he was escorted out the door. As he left with the guards, I walked up to Mal and gave her a hug. I could tell that she was immediately upset after saying goodbye to her father forever. Now that the barrier will be closed for good, I could tell that this was the last time to see her father. "Don't worry, Mal..... At least you got to see him again, one last time..... I'm happy that you both got your family relationship back to normal.....", I told her while comforting her some more.
