Soft sniffles could be heard, and there was a child sitting bleeding in an alley way. His cries were soft as not to alert anybody else, he didn't know what he did to deserve this, but he knew it hurt to move, and he felt tired. He knew that he was loosing blood, but he was sleepy, he tried to keep his eyes opened but ultimately went to sleep, sensing dream man coming.

He fell asleep against a dumpster, and somebody stopped at the entrance of the alley, seeing the blood tracks they walked into the alley expecting to see a dead cat, or dog, not a nearly dead child breathing shallow, and red chakra coming and healing him in waved.

The man picked the child up and walked him to his home, they child looked frail, like he didn't eat, or better yet he wasn't fed. That made the men marginally upset, he realized that this child was treated worst than prisoners, and he was looking at a child that had to be seven, maybe eight.

When he walked through the door, he was greeted with his wife, she getting ready to greet him until she saw what he had in his hands, her smile turned into a frown and she spoke.

"You bought the demon home?" The man looked and tilted his head.

"This child, who is the same age as Shikamaru is a demon? How could you actually say that and mean it?" The woman scoffed.

"He may not be a demon, but a demon container I don't want somebody who's so unpredictable to live here." The man shrugged.

"Good thing it's not your choice, this child will be safe with a clan backing him, and I will be that clan." He was certain about it and the woman shrugged.

"He's not my responsibility." She spoke and walked away, The man walked the child who's breathing got a lot more sturdier and consistent, it seems that his tenet was healing him. The man placed the child in bed, wiping the blood off him before coving him with the cover, running a hand through that blonde hair.

"The deers will protect you, I'll watch you, Sorry for not seeing this earlier, Naruto." The man said, and in the doorway stood a child that looked exactly like the man sitting in the chair, curiously watching before he heard his mother call for dinner and him leaving.

The man stood up and cracked the door so he could hear of the child woke up, but the child was deep in his mind, floating in water, drifting. His eyes closed as he wondered just what did he do to deserve this.

He's never been beaten before, usual insults of him being a demon and a murder was heard, he had been spat on before and drenched in water, both ice cold and scorching hot, but nothing and he means nothing along the lines of almost death.

Was he dead now?

Was he gone?

Did he finally die?

"You aren't dead, for I won't allow it." A soft voice was heard, and Naruto wanted to open his eyes but he couldn't.

"Why? Why am I still alive?"

"You aren't meant to die."

"Then why beat me within an inch of my life?"

"They fear what they don't know, You aren't going to die just yet, Kurama won't allow it"

"Then why am I floating, through nothing?"

"As cruel as this sounds, your powers that were resting, calming awakened with this beating and Kurama is making your body ready."

"Who are you? Who is Kurama."

"You will know everything the minute you wake, now it's about to become clearer, arise Naruto with the knowledge of your destiny."

The floating stopped and Naruto laid there before he started convulsing, images and almost video like things scanned past his mind, everything from when he was just a baby inside his mother, him learning of everything.

Who he was.

Who is father was.

Who is mother was.

What powers he has.

Why they were hiding lying waiting.

Why that he's not just an Namikaze.

Why he's a Uzumaki as well.

Why he has to save the Hyuga clan

Why Kami trustee him with such a destiny.

The reason why his chakra felt like fire, like a scorching fire that others couldn't stand but that he could walk through effortlessly.

This is going to hurt, and I'm sorry.

Naruto wondered who that voice was but then he was screaming, it was like his scorching fire was being blown, and it made his body feel sharp pains wherever the fire thrives at, it hurt just as much as the beaten he took not too long ago. The raging winds, knocking the fire all over his body was excruciating to Naruto.

While Naruto was in his mind screaming, his body was thrashing on the bed, dinner was finished and Shikaku and Shikamaru rushed to the bedroom to see him moaning and thrashing about.

"Father what's wrong with him?" Shikamaru asked and Shikaku shrugged.

"I don't know, all we can do is wait and pray he makes it."

Naruto's body fell against the bed as the fire and wind seemed to mingle and coexist, his breathing stabilized and his face seemed to fall into a one that a lot less troubled and he felt like he actually drifted to sleep.

Shikaku watched as Shikamaru fell asleep in the bed, and he could sense the chakra change in the child. He sat there looking up at the heavens.

"Minato forgive me."

Shikaku didn't leave the child's side unless it was to eat, he called the Kage to his home when the child had been asleep for a week, it was unsettling to the Nara's even Shikamaru was worried about the child sleeping in the bed.

"He hasn't woken yet." Hizuren asked and Shikaku shook his head.

"Minato is going to kill me in the next life." Shikaku said and Hizuren sighed sitting in a chair. Shikamaru walked over to Naruto poking him in the head, sighing when he felt no movements.

"Troublesome blonde, are you going to wake up?" Shikamaru said sitting on the bed, and as the adults were talking, Shikamaru kept poking until he saw blue eyes flutter open, and stare at him. Shikamaru only chuckled and spoke.

"Welcome back to the land of living, I'm Shikamaru Nara." Naruto just looked at the child and one word crossed his mind.

Pure annoyance.
