Apparently...

So that round of Heist was really a big bust. But at least that gave Colt a brief reminder of the news that he needed to still say to Shelly.

And then even later in the day, Colt got involved in another round of Solo-Showdown, and had conveniently noticed how Shelly was one of the other nine Brawlers competing for the top number one spot.

After relying on a few empty bushes and snagging some Power Boxes that were kept in the real tight corners of the map, which was Scorched Stone, that once again, gave Colt another reminder of his grandfather's past, and from there, to the news he still needed to tell his friend.

This time, the round of Solo-Showdown at the infamous Meteor Shower modifier to it, which meant that large chunks of intergalactic celestial flaming space rock would come down flying at the map and would seriously hurt any of the Brawlers that were unfortunate enough to get crushed by one of them.

Currently now, there were only three Brawlers remaining. Colt was thankfully to himself, one of them. Colt, deep in thought, was now making his way to the center of the stage, where a square ring was clumped all together around a giant sandstone square block that definitely looked scorched up under the sun, before aiming his revolvers towards the bushes, and firing.

After firing at all of the empty bushes to check to make sure that there wasn't any one trying to ambush him inside or anything, he then headed inside them.

After hearing the rustle of the bushes from behind him, he looked back for a split second before turning around... face to face with the barrel of Shelly's shotgun.

"Man. Every single time." Colt said. "But before you press the trigger, I need you to hear what I needed to tell you back when we were playing Heist."

"Couldn't you just tell me afterwards?" Shelly asked.

"Um... I might as well tell you now. Besides, I forget a lot." Colt said, but really that wasn't the case. He just really wanted to get it out of his system, because to him, it was so irresistibly good news that he couldn't bear to hold it in him anymore longer.

Shelly rested her finger on the trigger, still pointing the shotgun at Colt before peering through the bushes to see if there was anyone around. No one in sight...yet.

"What?" she asked when she turned back to him, lowering her shotgun just a teensy bit so she could still use less time to react to aiming and then firing.

Colt's eyes sparkled.

"Me and Poco are heading into the city!" he simply couldn't contain his voice.

"Shh! You're gonna give away our location!" Shelly urgently scolded.

"Sorry." Colt lowered his voice just a teensy bit in a reply.

"So you and Poco are going to the city huh? I guess that's pretty fun-" her voice made it sound like she was making a very lame statement, when Colt cut and butted in.

"Wait, no! That's not the best part yet! The best part is that there is still room for you on board! See, my grandfather just paid us on a vacation trip to the city, and he paid for three people of lodging and new clothes!"

"That's the best part? Me coming along?" Shelly raised an eyebrow.

Colt felt himself grow hot, but he tried his best to sooth his muscles.

"Yeah, I mean, I'd need one more person to come along. And I could always just ask someone else..." Colt smirked. Perhaps using the bandwagon technique would help convince Shelly. Then again, Colt wouldn't say the exact reason why he might need his friends along on this vacation trip. He didn't want to use them, no, and that was probably not his grandfather's intention. It's just that they would be great for keeping an eye on Colt, and for perhaps even some friendship bonding.
