Colt took a hasty deep breath before he started a mad dash towards the end of the room, which was still quite far. He was making his way towards the end of the room, trying to evade the chefs effectively, but only seconds in did he realize where he was going impulsively.
At the end of the room, the wall was actually a giant glass window which showed a great view of the seafront at an up-close angle. The giant glass window covered the whole surface where the wall should have been, from the north end to the south end.
When Colt stopped with a sudden halt about a couple meters away from the window after weaving his way past the tables and chairs, he quickly looked behind him once again.
He could still see the two chefs still hot at his tail, trying to weave through the tables and chairs. At least Colt didn't move them much at all. If he didn't he probably would've given a free path for the two chefs.
He though noticed what looked like to be a round table just a couple feet to the left side of him, where he could see a bunch of empty plates neatly arranged around the edges of the circle.
He made his way as fast as he could over there, trying to get his hands on one of the plates, but before he did so, he quickly turned around, and just narrowly avoided a swing to the face from the chef with the pan, reeling back and pressing his back against the table. That chef was sure quick.
Colt grabbed a plate and swung it at the chef, but the chef grabbed it with his other hand and tossed it away.
The chef then dropped his pan, and proceeded to grab two more of the plates, with both of his hands, while Colt made his way around the opposite end of the table across from the chef.
The busted nose chef at the same time also managed to get through the tables and chairs blocking his way and reached for a plate as well.
Colt had to make a quick split-second decision by now. To risk it all and flee? Or decide to make a stand?
Colt's hand quickly shot out impulsively, snatching the plate away from the chef with the busted nose. It was too late to turn back now.
While doing so, his other free hand, his right hand, quickly pushed away the other chef's first plate.
Only milliseconds between, the chef with the busted nose reached for Colt's left hand, but Colt anticipated and knew that he would do that, so he quickly slid it back on the table's surface underneath the chef's wrist.
At the same time, with Colt's right hand, he just about managed to reach for the other plate in the other chef's hand just as the chef was about to hold it back to gain momentum in a swing, and pulled it towards himself.
The chef reached for the plate that Colt had impulsively, and Colt quickly flipped it up in the air, grabbing another plate with his left hand at the same time.
The chef's eyes looked mesmerized as the plate was flipping in the air, and when Colt caught it with his right hand, he quickly faked a swing of throwing the plate downwards onto the chef's head.
The chef thankfully fell for it, quickly blocking his head up with both of his hands in a protective manner, but when he didn't see feel anything for a few seconds, he accidentally let his guard up, and just barely peeked up, moving his hands down a little, that was when Colt struck, using his other plate in his left hand to bring it down onto his head, shattering the plate instantly.
The chef's eyes shut almost immediately hands retracted back towards his head as he cursed in pain, falling down on the ground.
That happened all in such quick succession, but before Colt could realize what he just had done, he received a kick to the side of his stomach by the other chef with the busted nose, and fell down onto the ground.
