"911 Do you need Police, Fire, or an ambulance?"
"I need Police!"
"What's your emergency?"
"I think there's a robbery in progress at my Neighbours place. My name is Jill Morgan."
There was the sound of a big crash as Jill finished giving the operator the details.
Jill had been watching an old episode of Family Feud when she heard something break next door. She thought it might have been their poodle Mrs. O'Leory knocking something over.
She then heard noises again and the voice of a man.
"Quiet!" He said. "I know the stash is somewhere here!"
Jill ignored it. A couple of minutes later she went to get a glass of water when she saw someone through the Jackson's window. He was tall, was wearing black clothes and had a gun in his pocket.
Jill had called 9-1-1 immediately.
Around 5 minutes later Jill heard the sirens in the distance. She kept peeking through the window to make sure the robbers were still there.
The cops had arrived on their streets when she looked through the window again.
"No, no NO!!" She yelled. But it was too late.
BANG!
Jill gasped as she saw the blonde haired woman fall to the ground. She instantly ran out the door.
Fortunately the officers had heard it too. They rushed out of the car and pulled out their guns.
"Get back!" The officer told her. Jill nodded and stepped back. The officers broke into the house. A few minutes later Jill heard more sirens. 2 more police cars and an ambulance pulled up.
The medics rushed into the house with the stretcher. Jill fought hard to keep back the tears. Images of the shot and the blood came flooding back. She saw the face of Annabeth Jackson when she entered the room. She saw her face when she got shot.
Jill opened her eyes again. This time another car pulled up. It was a black BMW i8. The same car she had seen in the Jackson's driveway for weeks.
Percy Jackson stepped out of the car and ran over to the nearest officer.
"What the hell is going on!" He asked.
"Sir we need you to stay back. You can't enter the crime scene."
"My wife and daughter are in that house! I am not going anywhere so you better tell me what's going on!" Percy yelled at the officer.
Before the officer could say anything, another officer came out of the house with little Maddy with them.
She ran into her fathers arms laughing. Jill watched as Percy squeezed Maddy in his arms.
Maddy looked at Percy and opened her mouth.
"Daddy is Mommy going to be okay?" She asked.
"What?" Percy asked. "What happened to Mommy?"
Percy looked up. The paramedics rushed out of the house with Annabeth on a stretcher. There was a mask covering her face.
"No!" Percy whispered. "Oh my gods."
Percy ran to Annabeth side and gripped her hand. Jill watched as the tears flowed out of his eyes.
They put Annabeth into the Ambulance. The medics made the mistake of telling Percy to step back.
Jill could see Percy's need to go with Annabeth to the hospital. But he couldn't leave Maddy here all alone.
