Mallory POV
The next day at school, I was at my locker with A.J.. We're seniors, Reece and Slade graduated last year so they don't go to school anymore.
"So I saw you and Reece getting along pretty well at the race." A.J. smirked, bumping my shoulder with hers.
"Yeah, he made me realize, that street racing isn't so bad." I said closing my locker so we could walk to class.
"Does that mean you'll come to more races?"
"Yes."
"Yay." She cheered jumping up and down.
"Calm down, A.J. It doesn't mean anything." I said laughing at my best friend.
"Whatever, M. But I'm getting you two together. Just you wait. Just. You. Wait." She said slowly backing away from me to go to her Math class.
I laugh at her and walk to AP English. I want to get into a good college so I take AP classes. I walk in and sit down next to a guy with brown hair, he looks familiar I just can't tell where I've seen him from.
The teacher gives us our assignments and let's us work on our own. I keep glancing at the guy next to me.
I glance over at him for about the fifth time, only to find him already looking at me. I look away quickly and I hear him chuckle.
About five minutes later I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn a d see him smiling at me. I return the smile. "Is there a reason you kept looking at me?" He asks.
I look down embarrassed, "Um- I thought I knew you from somewhere."
"Well, I don't know where we would have seen each other at." He said turning in his chair so that he is fully facing me.
"I don't either, that's why I was looking at you," I reply sarcastically which makes him laugh. I hold my hand out to him, "I'm Mallory Wilcox."
He takes my hand and shakes it, "I'm Quentin, Quentin Smith."
