Ida's POV

I woke up to somebody shaking me. I groaned slightly before opening my eyes. Nick waved his hand in front of my face. I shoved his hand away aggressively, and turned to him.

Nick: "Ida, I need you to promise not to freak out when I tell you this."

Me: "What? Sure?"

Nick: "I think we're being kidnapped."

My eyes widened, and I looked out the window. This sure was not the way home.

Nick: "We've been driving for nearly 40 minutes, it takes 10 minutes to get to your house."

Me: "Oh my-"

Nick: "I tried calling for help, but there's no signal in here."

Me: "Shit Nick, I think we're dealing with professionals.."

Nick: "We could open the door and jump out?"

Me: "What Nick? No! Haven't you ever been kidnapped before?"

Nick: "Uhh- no?"

Me: "Well I have. Thrice. And my first time, I did what you just suggested. I got hurt pretty badly, but didn't escape."

Nick: "How could you not escape?"

Me: "Like I said, professionals. They have multiple cars."

Nick: "Do you think they know that we know?"

Me: "Well, it would be weird if we hadn't figured it out by now."

Nick: "Why aren't they doing anything then?"

Me: "They should. Last time I was kidnapped they used gas to drug me."

Nick: "What? How did it look like?"

Me: "It was grey. And it hurt like hell."

Nick pointed at something starting to appear from the ceiling.

Nick: "Like that?"

Me: "Yeah. Like that."

We hesitated for a bit, before looking at each other and shouting. The gas rose, and as soon as I inhaled It, I felt the pain in my chest. Nick was taller, and it hadn't reached him yet. I started sweating and coughing. Then I collapsed on Nick's lap.

Ida's POV

I woke up on the backseat, and started coughing fiercely. I leaned back whilst coughing. My chest hurt, and as soon as I stopped coughing I transitioned into breathing heavily. I look helplessly at Nick, he was still doped. I took his hand as a comfort to myself. Suddenly he squeezed my hand hardly and started coughing intensely. As soon as he was done, he shot a glance at me.

Me: "Good, you're awake."

Nick: "How lang have you been awake?"

Me: "Just a minute."

Nick: "That hurt like hell."

Me: "It did. I feel bad for you though. Your pain must've lasted at least twice as long as mine."

Nick: "What? Why?"

Me: "You have much bigger lungs than I have."

Nick: "How do you know all this?"

Me: "Because danger brings out my inner A-student."

Nick: "It didn't in the Ferris wheel."

Me: "I didn't want you to get the wrong impression of me."
