I woke up the next morning blistering mad. I was too mad to even think of the usual nightmare last night. I stormed downstairs I didn't even look at my mom. I just grabbed a muffin and stomped back to my room. I remembered that book club also met on Saturdays too. They started at 8 every morning. I checked my watch it was 7:25.

I needed to finish my book chapter so I decided that I would just go now and finish it there. I ran back downstairs and out the door. About a block away from my house, I looked at Storm, realizing that he had followed me this whole way. I crouched down to his level.

"How do you keep up with me?" I asked. He responded my sniffing my face. He twisted his head and tried to grab my muffin. I yanked it out of the way, and his teeth closed on only air. I wrapped my arms around his huge neck and hugged him. I got up and continued walking. When I got to school, I sat down under Storm's tree and sat down, and started to read. I was almost finished the book, but when I did, I heard someone that I really didn't want to see.

"Brie wait! Brie! Hold on!" It was Jason he was running towards me. I got up and started walking into the building. He caught up to me. "What happened last night? Came outside to get you, but I saw you running and Chris on the ground in pain. Wanted to ask you but you were too far."

"I don't want to talk about it." I didn't want to tell him that I beat his best friend, but I didn't think that he would want to hear that his best friend was harassing me. I walked in to building and into the girls' bathroom, the only place where Jason couldn't follow me. I stared into the mirror. I looked at myself.

I just wanted to be somewhere where I could be alone with Storm. Right now, he was best friend. I left the bathroom, walked right past Jason, and into the library where the meeting was just starting. I sat down and as we discussed the book chapter. I thought of Chris face before he grabbed mine. Before I realized, book club was over. I walked outside to where Jason was waiting for me.

"What do you want?" I said harshly. Jason looked as if he was struck in the chest. I felt a twinge of guilt, but I didn't want to talk about it.

"I just want to know why you look so upset. It's not hard to tell. Please" he said quietly. My face softened.

"Ok" I gave in "but we'll have to talk in private." I looked around the field and I found a tree with low branches. It was sturdy enough to hold the both of us. I untied Storm's leash and walked over to it. I retied it to a root, and effortlessly swung myself up to one of the lowest branches. Jason looked at me wide-eyed.

"We have to climb? Trees?" He asked. I nodded. He climbed up to the lowest of all the branches. "So what happened?" He finally asked. I explained him the whole honest story, watching his eyes grow wider and wider until I finished. "W-w-what?" He stuttered. I nodded solemnly. His face turned red. He looked really mad. He jumped down and started running, I ran after him, but I wasn't fast enough .

"Storm!" I called. Immediately, the wolf was at my feet. I pointed to Jason. Storm took off after him. Once he caught up, he stopped in front of him causing Jason to stop. "Just hold on Jason, maybe he just didn't mean it, we'll see on Monday." I had to calm him down, his face was turning purple with rage. I grabbed his shoulders and spoke as calmly as I could. "Maybe it was a dare, ok? We will see on Monday if he really means it, ok?" I could tell my voice soothed him because his face returned to a normal color, and his breathing slowed.

"Ok, we'll see." He said looking doubtful.

"Do you want to come over to my place?" I asked, hoping to change the subject.

"Yeah sure! That'll be great!" We started walking towards the street. we walked in silence until we got to my house. Storm was trotting up the stairs just after Katharine yelled to my parents.
