Raven's POV:
~♡~
I was surprised by how long it was taking to reach Titans Tower. If I hadn't made it out, I probably would have never figured out where we lay hidden. I still could not believe where Beast Boy and I were captured.
We were in a new location just north of Jump City, in what appeared to be an abandoned building. However, I knew now why the other Titans hadn't come to our aid before. We were located miles and miles below the Earth's surface. Which is why whoever did this probably designed that "cave" to keep us well hidden. It had actually been an "underground cave". That also explained why our communicators didn't seem to work. That or because of the electrical energy that the metal components of the "cave" gave off. I tried using my communicator as soon as I left, but it appeared broken beyond repair for reasons unknown just yet. It had all been a foul trick and we all fell for it. We should have all learned our lesson back in Tokyo. When Brushogon was well hidden in an "abandoned building" himself. Even though the building was far from being abandoned...
As I was thinking about all of this I started regretting not investigating the building even further. What if the person that was responsible for all this was plotting something else? What if he was hiding there as well? I could have stopped them right then and put an end to all this. However I knew that I wouldn't of had enough time. What if my powers weren't enough to defeat this enemy and I couldn't save Beast Boy? I couldn't risk that happening. Maybe getting out of there as soon as possible to get backup was the best option.
I could see the familiar buildings of our City in the distance.
"Oh thank goodness, Jump City." I said out loud in relief. The sun was already beginning to set and the world itself seemed to glow in the orangey color that the setting sun seemed to cast. I knew that I had to hurry as fast as possible. For some weird reason I felt as if I had to beat the sun. I'm not sure why exactly, but I just had a bad feeling about us getting to Beast Boy's aid at night. I usually tend to be very fond of the night time, but tonight felt different. I couldn't believe that I was even thinking this but, I felt afraid. And I thought Starfire was the one who had problems with her emotions. The problems I had were merely to control them. While her emotions would often warn her of things. I didn't know why, but this ominous feeling was pushing me to fly even faster.
Titans Tower was just up ahead and I don't think I've ever been happier to see that gigantic T looming over the surrounding body of water."Almost there." I said out loud again, when I heard strangely familiar laughter. I looked around but I didn't see anyone. I looked down below to see if the person was on the ground. The voice sounded just like... "Starfire is that y-" before I could even finish the question I felt a blast of hot fire against my back.
I was being attacked. I felt myself flying back when I turned to the mysterious attacker. Starfire? No, it couldn't be. She looked different.
"Hello friend." she said tauntingly.
