It was now the next day and Selene and I had to train the vampires to be Death Dealers. They were shooting at holograms of lycans and we were walking around giving them tips. As Selene was talking to them they all abruptly stopped and formed two lines whilst looking behind us. I turned around and saw Varga standing there behind Selene and I. "Please continue." He said gesturing towards the trainee vampires. Selene, Varga and I were now standing near the cage where two trainee vampires were fighting and Varga started talking about how he created the cage. I just rolled my eyes at him and focused on the fighting. He then asked Selene if she would fight him to show the students the threat of unpredictability. She agreed after awhile as she was hesitant and they both walked into the cage and it shut behind them. They started fighting and it was hard to tell who was winning. But then Selene got cut by his knife and it went downhill for her. Her punches were getting sloppy and I slightly stepped forward as I was worried for her. But then she fell down which made my eyes widen and I ran over and pressed the up button for the cage I went to run over to her but someone I don't recognise grabbed me forcefully and held me tightly to them. I struggled yelling Selene's name until Varga started to shoot all of the student I looked around breathing heavily in shock. "Let me go!" I screamed at the person holding me and saw Semira walk over to me and she forcefully grabbed my cheeks in her hand and said "You'll never see David again. Take her with us! They could have the same blood." the person behind me then cut me with what I'm assuming to be nightshade and a lone tear fell from my eyes as my body began shutting down, my body slumped on the person holding me and through blurred vision I saw Selene being carried away before darkness consumed my vision.
My vision kept on coming and going but I only saw snippets of where I am. I was in a room laying on a metal table. I looked sluggishly down at my arm and saw something being pumped into it possibly nightshade as I couldn't move any part of my body, before I could see more I went unconscious again.
I was then coming back to consciousness when I felt a hand slide underneath my knees and back and pull me up. "David." I whispered groggily still not being able to move. I felt someone stroke my cheek and whisper back "It's okay Esmé, I've got you." I just replied "Selene... she okay?" I then heard the voice of my sister say "I'm okay Esmé." I then felt wind rush through my hair so I suspected that David jumped. I felt the sunlight on my skin and looked up and saw that David was walking in the sun and I focused on his face as my head leans against his shoulder in exhaustion.

I was able to focus on what was happening around me now but the nightshade in my blood still stopped my movements. I saw David driving a car through the gates of the coven and I saw through the mirror Selene was behind me but she looked healed and better. David then parked the car turned towards me whilst rolling up his sleeve and told me to feed. I groggily shook my head and turned it away from him. "Esmé listen to me if you don't do this you could die. Feed." I still made no changed but then I felt his hands on my cheeks and he pulled my face so that I was close to him and looking into my eyes he then said "Esmé I can't lose you too okay. Just feed, please." He was stroking my cheeks and I then glanced down at his wrist and swallowed thickly. I turned my head slightly to the side and let my lips touch the skin of his wrist and glanced at him to see him staring at me with concern so I closed my eyes and felt my fangs elongate and I sunk my teeth into his wrist and I heard him grunt in shock but I was too focused on his alluring blood something about it lured me in making me want more.

Memories of his life flowed through my closed eyelids but the one memory that caught my attention was what happened whilst I was in Semira's room and his father was killed by her. The memories stopped and I opened my eyes still drinking his blood but I was now able to move so I brought my hand up and placed it over his hand that was still on my cheek. I looked into his eyes and saw his beautiful blue eyes shining as well and he was looking at me with passion in his eyes. I slowly retracted my fangs from his wrist still looking in his eyes mesmerised and licked away the blood that was around his wrist and placed a discreet kiss to his wrist before moving my head away from his wrist and he moved his hands from my cheeks and brought his thumb down to run across my bottom lip collecting the blood that remained on it. The feeling of his thumb on my lip gave me pleasurable shivers. "I'm sorry about your father." I said whilst looking at him and he smiled softly at me and run his thumb across my cheek in response but Selene cleared her throat loudly and ruined the mood. I then turned in my seat and looked out the window blushing. The only thought on my mind was of him and how he made me feel things I've never felt before. There's just something about him that draws me in wanting more. 'God, David. What are you doing to me?'
