David and I were now in the room with the rock pool watching Lena cover Selene with fabric. David had his arm around my waist, his fingers rubbing soft shapes into my hip. My head was resting on his chest hearing his calming heartbeat as I numbly watched Lena work on Selene. David rested his cheek on my head but then Lena called him to help her out. He gave my hip a comforting squeeze and reluctantly let go off me. He made his way into the pool of water and held Selene's body over the water. Lena then said "The water is the path." And David let Selene's body go and it disappeared under the water which made me sigh and look down. David and Lena left the water and made their way over to me. I looked up and Lena gave me a soft smile and placed her hand on my shoulder. I slightly returned her smile and looked towards David who stood beside me. Lena took her hand off my shoulder and David place his hand on my waist as we all made our way out of the room.
David and I collected all of our things and made our way to the exit. Lena and Vidar walked behind us to see us off. Vidar then said "You two should stay here. This could be your home." I looked at Vidar sadly and said "Marius is heading east. There's nothing stopping him now." David then continued "And my people are beset with enemies on all sides..." he then paused and looked down at me and said "How can I and live while they die." I looked at him softly and said "They need a leader." David looked at me with a smile and then turned back to look at Lena and Vidar and nodded slightly in goodbye. I looked at Vidar and smiled softly at him in goodbye and went over to Lena and hugged her tightly and said goodbye. As I stepped away David grabbed my hand and we both turned and walked away.

David and I were now at the Eastern Coven and were making our way to the council room. My eyes turned blue with anger when I heard the echo of Semira's voice and I angrily busted through the double door, David following closely behind me. Semira turned towards and scoffed as she looked at me and said "The traitor returns." I growled angrily at her as I walked towards her. "Oh, you are a fool to show up here." I heard a gun being loaded next to me and felt David tense next to me and grab my hand but I ignored it and looked at Semira in the eyes with pure hate. "I will make you pay for what you have done Semira." David said walking closer to me but then he turned to the council and said "Marius and his army are heading this way as we speak. I've come to save my people." Semira then laughed and said "You're people," which made me smirk at her as she didn't know. She then told her people to kill us as she walked past us. I grabbed her arm forcefully and sneered "You aspire to be the protector of your bloodline, yet you kill your own kind in a pursuit of power." I then smirked at her and said "It ends now." I then turned to the Covern and gestured to David and said "He is David, son of the great Elder Amelia." David then smiled at me secretly and said "And I am the rightful heir to this Covern." All of the council turned to each other in disbelief. Semira then started laughing but the smirk didn't drop off my face knowing the truth. She then turned to us and said "Amelia had no son." David then looked to me and saw the smirk on my face and laughed slightly as he said "Well she had the foresight to know that my claim would be challenged." I then turned to the council and held up the metal ball that held Amelia's blood in it and said "For the council." And gave it to one of them who gave it to the leader of the council. He opened it and saw that there was a vial of her blood for each member of the council and handed them out. They all looked at David and he tightly held my hand but showed no nervousness as they all drank her blood.
The leader then said "His claim is true. David is the last of the purebloods." This made David squeeze my hand in relief. I then turned to Semira with a grin on my face and she said "Irrelevant. You are outnumbered and outgunned. Varga your orders still remain. Kill them." David then turned to Varga and looked at him to see what he would do but he steeped in front of me slightly just in case something bad happened. My grin grew twice the size as Varga did nothing and when Semira questioned him he pulled the gun out at her. She then said "You swore to solve me." Varga didn't move and said "I swore to serve the leader of this house."
An alarm then interrupted us as it said "Breachdetected." I turned to David in worry and saw that his eyes had turned blue andhe grabbed his sword and pointed it at Semira and said "Lock her away until shecan be judged by the council." David then pulled me with him as we made our waypast him but that didn't stop the smirk I had on my face as she looked down atour joined hands.

We made our way to the weapons room and I grabbed my normalpistols and whip but made sure that I had enough bullets. After we made our wayinto the entrance of the Coven and stood on the staircase which overlooked thedoors. I then grabbed my guns and held them in position in front of me readyfor what was going to happen. I looked at David as he told everyone to get inposition and placed his gun resting on the staircase. He looked at me and oureyes flashed blue at the same time. I looked away when there was an explosionand the front doors were blown down. I kept my eyes steadily in the direction andwaited.
