Jack's POV
There's a thunderstorm raging outside, and while I love them it's annoying because it cut off the power and I was in the middle of a movie marathon, I'll let you guess what series I was watching. So now I'm sat here in boredom and darkness because no one trusts me enough to own candles, which is reasonable. I groaned and rolled my eyes, getting up in an attempt to stumble my way to the kitchen, hopefully without breaking anything or myself, I might as well eat the ice cream that's in the freezer before it melts and goes off. Okay update I'm now curled up in my blankets again eating ice cream while listening to the storm, wait no my phones ringing, it's Rian?? Okay?? "Hello??" I answered, frowning when I heard the panic in Rian's voice
"Jack, can I come over??" He asked, and it dawned on me that Rian's not very fond of storms, everyone expects me to be the one who doesn't like storms but no it's Rian.
"Of course, stay safe on your journey" I said, even though he literally lives down the street from me.
I'm now sitting in front of my door waiting for Rian, I still have my blanket around me, mostly so I have it prepared to wrap around Rian as soon as he gets here, which is right now apparently, I opened the door immediately and pulled him inside and into a hug, wrapping the blanket around him before he could even say anything "it's okay, it's gonna be fine" I mumbled to him, smiling softly when I heard him let out a soft chuckle
"Jay calm down" he said softly, pulling away from the hug and pulling the blanket tighter around him, he was soaked from the short walk and shivering a little, I frowned a little and dragged him upstairs, sighing softly when I realised I couldn't force him to take a shower because the power was out and instead pulled him into my room, digging through my closet to find some warm and dry clothes for him "Jack seriously calm down, it's alright" he said, but I could hear the slight shakiness in his voice. I eventually tossed a hoodie and joggers in his direction "change into them, I'll wash your clothes tomorrow." I said, I guess I'm taking the motherly role from him, oh well "fiiiiine" he groaned almost teasingly before I'm assuming turning around and getting changed, not that it really mattered, it was too dark to see much and we've seen each other naked far too many times before, our band is wild. "I'm changed now, where are we headed??" Rian piped up, throwing his clothes somewhere, I thought for a second before grabbing his hand and pulling him to my bed "we are gonna cuddle in bed until this storm is over so you don't get spooked, that's where we're going now." I said confidently before whining in pain after I walked into my bedside table "alright then dumbass" he chuckled and pulled us onto my bed, lifting the covers over us before snuggling into my side.
It's been about an hour of us just cuddling when Rian piped up again "I hope you know I wasn't actually scared about the storm Jack, I did this just for the cuddles" he mumbled, glancing up at me, I blushed and smiled a little "oh really?? You could've just said that you wanted cuddles" I chuckled and gently kissed his forehead "yeah well" he mumbled, a shy tone in his voice followed by a yawn "go to sleep Rian" I said softly, rolling my eyes at Rian's response "alright mum."
