I saw Chasity. With a boy. He looked like me, but more attractive. He had the same sweeping brown hair and hazel eyes but his were more green than mine. He had his muscled arm draped over her shoulders and her arm was wrapped around his waist. She looked genuinely happy.
They both had an Arizona Iced Tea dangling from the hand that wasn't entangled in each other. They smelled like smoke and she was reapplying her strawberry lip gloss.
Me and Chasity made eye contact once, for a second, right before her focus returned to the stranger.
Her eyes said I'm sorry.
I turned around and walked away.
