Seven day ritual

Long long ago in the land of dreary mire was a village called yggdrasil and the village was known for its peculiar tradition. Every year of the summer solstice they would celebrate a tradition known as the seven days. This requires to have seven participants each doing one particular thing on each days until the seventh day. Once the seventh days is done and only one participant is remaining. The participants will be parting in the finally ritual of the great harvest. Then a day before the ritual of the seven day something terrible, something tragic has happened.

The villages all rally with there torched and pitchfork towards one house at the outskirts of the village. They bust down the door to reveal a little girl all alone in the house and dragged her out to the woods by force. They tied her feet with rope and tied the rope on a cow's horn and which they then put a noose around her neck. Then the put the rope on the tree and let the cows run as the little girl scream in agony. The cows kept on doing it to the point where her head was removed from her body. The villager left her head hanging on the tree and they left her there to hang.

After coming back the next morning the villagers were shock to see that they did not see the head anywhere. The villagers didn't care for the reason they did that to the girl was because she committed a crime. The girl had committed an act against nature which is why she was punished. However though the village doesn't have enough time to bury her body so they feed it to the cows. Today is the day for the annual ritual for the seven day ritual in which seven participants will join. Each day has a challenge in which the participants well complete and one participant will be removed if they fail.

The seven day ritual happens every year at the start of the summer. At the end of the ritual it is said that they will have great harvest and great profits in doing this ritual. The head of the village Daryl rally up the villagers at the town square and in doing so put a vote. Each of the families in the village must put their name in the box and the head of the village will pick. The name of the family member that is pick must participate in the seven day ritual. After all of the villagers put there name on the box the head of the village daryl made a prayer.

After the prayer Daryl he puts his hand inside the box as the villagers watch in anticipation. Daryl get the first paper as one of the villagers hold each other in fear. Daryl reads out the first name of the participants which was gerald Winchester. Gerald walked up to the stand as his mother tried to stop him but the husband quickly stops. The next was adele wind, charlie mills, harold animal, Michael Philip, freya Smith and Daniel Lee. The participants will be going in the fields at sundown to do the first challenge of the day.

The challenge was the egg hunt in which the participants must find the eggs that are hidden within the rice fields. At sundown the participants went to the rice fields and at the count of three ran towards the field. All six participants found the eggs, all except Michael Philip and as punishment he is to cut off his left arm. The game was over and the seven went home and that night something was wrong. The villagers felt an eerie present but did not think anything of it and they went home. The next day the villagers were shocked to see that the participants harold animal dead.

Harold animal body was in the town plaza, not only was it a sad day for the family. It was also a bad day for the villager for without any participants the seven day ritual cannot be complete. Daryl then brought out Michael Philip's who was still in recover due to losing his arm. Micheal is now back in the seven day ritual game but he must not fail this time around. On the sixth day of the ritual the participants must climb on top of the mulberry tree. The six left must grab one fruit but there is only five mulberry fruits left so one participant will leave.

The participants climb on top of the tree but Micheal Philip was having a hard time climb. This was because Micheal lost his arm as punishment for losing the first game. All of the participants grabbed the fruit all except Micheal and the head of the village was angry at Michael's failure. Since rules are rules as punishment Daryl will have his other hand cut off. Then the night came and the villagers felt that same eerie feeling but decided to ignore it again. The next day freya Smith was found dead near the wall at the edge of the forest.
