As my day ended for the day, I packed my bag, cut off the lights, and locked my classroom up. I headed down the hallway and was stopped by someone calling my name.
"Dana!!! Dana!!! Wait up." Gemini called me.
I turned around and stopped in mid tracks. He was a little out of breath. I bit down on my lip but quickly straighten my face.
"Hey wassup? You called me?" I said trying to hurry and get my look together.
Trying to catch his breath a little he put his finger up telling me to give him a second. After a little bit he stood and looked at me.
"What are your plans for this afternoon?"
"Well I was gonna take these files home and look over my students records. Get to know them a little better and write on my lesson plans. Why?"
"Well I heard they was having like a little get together for the teachers this evening at Applebee's and was wondering if you would like to go."
"Who all will be there?"
"Just a few of our coworkers and the deans."
"Hmm that does sound like fun."
"It does and you can get the chance to meet the other teachers."
"Will you be going Mr. Jones?"
"Please. Call me Gemini. And yes I was planning on it. I mean I would love to have you there."
"I don't see why not. What time does it starts?"
"I was told 7ish."
"Well let me get home and put these things away and I will meet you guys there. Is this a casual dress or??"
"Well it's casual. Since we are meeting outside of the school. It's gonna be like a laid back kind of thing."
"Ok well I will most definitely meet you there. Thanks for the invite as well."
"No problem." He said as he looked at me.
"Until later then." I said as I walked off.
I headed to my truck and unlocked it. I opened the door and put my things on the passenger side. I got in and closed the door. Putting my key in the ignition, I crunk up and started on my way.
As I drove home I thought about the invitation that I just received from Gemini. I really like him. He is really friendly and that speaks a lot about his character. Most people are quiet and mean but he wasn't.
I drove home and about 10 minutes later I was pulling up to my house. I cut the truck off and grabbed my things. I locked the truck up and got to the door to unlock it.
Opening the door I put my things on the table and sat down. I relaxed for a little and took my heels off. This was so relaxing to me. I wanted to take a nap really quick before I went to this dinner.
