Some loves are born in fire. Some survive it.

WARNING:

Firefly Night  isn't for the faint of heart — or for anyone who thinks a cowboy hat is just a fashion statement.
This story comes with a warning: side effects may include a sudden, bone-deep craving for adrenaline, an ill-advised temptation to chase the rodeo circuit, and a fierce longing for slow whiskey and dust-choked sunsets. You might find yourself standing a little closer to the edge of things — where the ground is never steady and the stakes are always higher than they seem.

But fair warning — beneath the grit and the swagger, there's a harder truth stitched into every line.

This book carries the weight of real danger, the kind you don't walk away from without scars. It treads deep into the blood and bone of bull riding, into the bruises no one talks about, and the heartbreak that rides shotgun when you live with one foot in the arena and one foot in the fire.

Firefly Night is a story about risk, about loss, about holding on to the things that matter when everything else threatens to tear loose.
It's not always easy.
It's not always safe.
But like any good ride, it's worth it — if you've got the stomach to hold on.

A word to the wise (and the foolish):

Firefly Night is the result of years of sweat, sleepless nights, and stubborn, fire-blooded belief. If you're thinking about stealing it, just know — cowboys might forgive a lot of things. Theft ain't one of them.

Dear Reader,

First things first — thank you for being here.
For picking up Firefly Night  and stepping into the dust and the blood and the stubborn hope stitched through every page.
This story has been a labor of love and grit and no small amount of sleepless nights, and the fact that you're here, living it alongside me, means more than I can say.

You'll notice — some chapters are split into two, or three, or four or five- and so on. That's not a mistake. It's because these moments grew too big to fit into neat little boxes. Some parts of a story demand more space to breathe, to bleed, to mean something. I wasn't about to cut them down to size.

This book is still alive, still breathing.
I'm constantly shaping it, sharpening it, chasing after the version that feels truest. Your thoughts matter here — the questions you carry, the characters you cling to, the parts that keep you awake after you've turned out the light.
If you've got something to say, I'm listening.

This story isn't just mine anymore.
It's ours now.
Thank you for being part of it.

WHAT AM I WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?— Character aesthetic boards (because the vibe matters just as much as the words)

WHAT AM I WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
— Character aesthetic boards (because the vibe matters just as much as the words)

— Chapters 1–10: final edits + prep for publication (4/18/25 — it's coming fast)
— Editing, polishing, breathing life into Chapters 1–10
— Diving into the mess and beauty of Chapters 10–20
— Somewhere in there, two missing chapters need to be written (future me's problem... kind of)
— Dragging Chapters 20–30 through the fire, kicking and screaming if I have to
— Turning Chapters 30–40 into something that hits hard and stays with you
— Crossing the finish line (and probably collapsing dramatically)

Anything I'm missing?
