Honestly, this is just a little "note" I wrote for shits and giggles after playing Doki Doki Literature Club. I have no idea what I was thinking while writing this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

~ ~ ~

If you are reading this, then that clearly means you had found my hiding spot. Well, what should I say...? Congratulations? I mean, you have to have at least some sort of intelligence in order to have found this note, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Anyways, sorry about my messy handwriting. I've been trying to fix it over the past few years, but it all ended in vain. I'm writing this note to sort of let out my feelings, you know? Call me crazy or insane, but this has been lingering on my mind for a long time, and whenever I told someone, they would just laugh it off or call me delusional or something. They would tell me to see a therapist or something, and so I've been very stressed out lately. It's nice to write to a complete stranger because at least they don't know who I am, so it doesn't matter whether they judge me or not.

Sorry for going on about my whole life story to you, whoever you are. If you're still reading this, then continue on.

The thing that has been on my mind recently has to do with the mysterious disappearance of a little girl named Lilith Anderson. As you may have heard, this is a very well known cold case from 10 years ago. If you've never heard of her, then I'll give you a little summary of what happened.

First, I'll give you a profile of who Lilith Anderson is. She disappeared 10 years ago on December 25, at the age of 5. At the time, she lived with her two parents, Mikayla and Shaun Anderson, who were Lilith's biological parents. A little before the time Lilith disappeared, she exhibited very strange and erratic behavior. Twitching, mumbling incoherent words to herself, staring at a wall for hours on end without stopping to do anything else. These are just a few examples. She stopped eating, and started to ignore those around her. Then, on an early Christmas day, she vanished. No trace of her was left. Her bedroom? Gone. Her belongings? Gone. Evidence of her leaving? Nothing. It was like Lilith Anderson never even existed. All there was left was a note, left right on the dining room table. The note read:

"I hear this noise every night. A screeching, scratching noise, with the quiet echo of someone howling. This noise takes over my room, consumes each and every little corner, nook and cranny. It consumes ME.

E V E R Y  S I N G L E  N I G H T.

Actually, it is a rather peaceful noise, despite its description. So, so peaceful. I feel free every single time I hear it, like a mysterious lullaby. It is music to my ears. MUSIC I TELL YOU. You wouldn't understand though. No one understands. Am I really losing my sanity? Am I going crazy? I don't want to go insane, but at the same time it feels right. I feel relieved at the thought of it. Perhaps this is my destiny. My REAL destiny.

Goodbye."

You know what else was left? Besides the note of course. Memories of Lilith Anderson. The only evidence left that proved of her existence. But, at one point, even those memories started to fade away. Bit by bit. Now you might be wondering, "How do know all of this? And with such detailed descriptions?" Well, I'll tell you this: I remember EVERYTHING.

By using divine energy, I was able to completely erase myself from the lives of Mikayla and Shaun Anderson. In other words, I'm the missing girl from 10 years ago. Except, I'm not a girl. Is that confusing? Sorry, I'll explain it better.

Lilith Anderson disappeared all those years ago because of a certain discovery she found. The existence of divine energy. Does this story seem familiar to you?
