1/2 cup Syrup (If you want it extra sweet)

2 Large Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Sugar
1 pinch Kosher Salt
Tools:
Ice Cream Scoop
Whisk
Metal Spatula
Extra Large Saute Pan (12 inch)
Small Mixing Bowl
Metal Strainer
Large Baking Pan
Cutting Board

2 Tasting Spoons
Measuring Spoons (Chef uses All-Clad Stainless Steel)
Measuring Cups
Step 1: Prep the french toast & cut bananas: Whisk 1/4 cup milk, 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp sugar, and 1 pinch salt together in a small bowl. Slice 1 banana thinly into discs. Slice 4 slices bread and line in the shallow baking dish then pour the egg mixture over the top, flipping to ensure they're completely coated.
Step 2: Cook the french toast: Heat 2 tbsps butter in a large skillet over a medium-high flame. Place the egg soaked challah into the pan and cook until golden brown and crispy. Flip the bread over in the pan and spread 1/2 cup Nutella on one side then layer the bananas on top. When the second side is crispy and golden brown flip it over to form a sandwich.
Step 3: Cut, plate, garnish & serve: Serve immediately or hold in a warm oven. To plate, cut in half, top with 1/4 pint vanilla ice cream and garnish with 1 tbsp powdered sugar, shaking it through a strainer to distribute with no lumps.
