South and I were sitting at a lunch table but not the one with the football players, this table was all girls. I met them in classes so they weren't really strangers to me.

"Hey, Riele, let's do something this tomorrow." South started.

"What?" I asked, putting the fork I was using to eat my spaghetti down.

"Let's have a slumber party at your place." She proposed.

"Um... I don't know." I said, unsure.

"Come on, please. We'll have an actual slumber party and this time we are not lying to your parents about anything so there will not be trouble."

"I'll have to speak to my parents first." I told her.

"Sure. So we'll come by your place tomorrow?" She grinned.

"I'll send a limo to bring you."

"Amazing, you are the best friend ever." The bell rang, indicating that it was time for my next class, Biology.

I sat with Landon while South and Briana, one of the girls. Just before the class started I sent a text to my Dad, asking for permission to have friends over for the weekend and luckily he accepted.

Mr Brundy explained that we would be getting paired up with people of his choosing. We were supposed to do projects and reports with our partners and we could not change them till the end of the school year.

I was actually excited to know who my partner was. For the first time ever I was going to work with someone and not on my own like I did. Mr Brundy started reading out the names of people who were paired together.

"I really hope we're partners." I heard Landon say and turned to him.

"Why?" I rose my eyebrow at him in curiosity.

"So we can hang out more. You've been spending time with Rowan and South but not me so this could be an opportunity." He admitted shyly.

"That's true." I nodded in agreement. "How about we grab a few milkshakes after school?"

"My treat."

I tuned into what Mr Brundy was saying just in time to hear my name being called.

"Riele Bentley and Sierra Dewitt." He announced.

Sierra Dewitt? Dewitt? She must be related to Rowan. I thought. Mr Brundy finished reading the names out and instructed us to sit with our partners and discuss our projects for the rest of the class.

Looking around to find my partner, I didn't notice the person that stood next to me until she spoke.

"Hey, it's you!" She said fondly.

It was the same girl I spoke with last Saturday at the charity event. She was Sierra Dewitt?

"Hi, Sierra." I greeted with a grin. "So you're related to Rowan?"

"Yeah, I'm his sister. I'm actually younger than him but I skipped a grade." She explained. "I didn't know that you were a Bentley, if I did we would've hung out more."

"I would've loved that and we should hang out." I said sincerely.

"Now, let's talk about our project." She diverted. "I was thinking we could do a presentation on adaptation. Y'know the responsive adjustment of animals to their habitats."

"I know what adaptation is. And I think it's a great idea. We can start work on it next week." I stated.

"Next week?" Her eyebrows creased. "Why not today or during the weekend?"
