Alison sighed and hung her head. She had found herself sitting alone on the curb in the dark of night after a particularly bad nightmare. She had gone outside to clear her mind even as the rain poured and drenched her clothes. She closed her eyes and saw it again. She saw the fire.

She could feel it's nightmarish heat radiating from the flames and into her skin, she could feel it searing her flesh and cooking it slowly. She could hear her parents screaming and crying, and could feel her brothers picking her up and running with her. A shiver ran up her spine as the thunder boomed and lighting crashed and a shocked gasp escaped her lips. She was freezing but didn't want to leave.

Her eyes began to water as they closed again and she could see her mother, trapped under the rubble from a collapsing burning roof, her father lying there on the floor unresponsive. "Alison honey, you need to go! Your brothers will take good care of you sweetheart." Her mother pleaded as she held back from screaming in pain. The rain falling on the gingers skin began to burn like licks of fire.

Whimpering out in pain she let out a small cry as she remembered "Alison, I know you don't want to leave me and your father but we'll be right behind you I promise. I love you." Her mother's words echoed in her mind and she remembered Erik grabbing her and running through the burning convention hall as it crumbled to the floor, he had her and Sean in his arms. Her parents were never behind them.

Ali's eyes snapped open and she let out a sob. It was a loud miserable sob as she covered her face with her hands and cried as the rain felt like tiny bullets shooting into her skin. Her thoughts reeled and repeated themselves 'you bloody idiot why didn't you save them?! You could've saved them! You had this amazing gift, these miraculous powers, and you let them die! It was your fault your parents are dead! You're a failure!'

'It was always your fault.'

She shook and trembled as the thunder roared and the rain got worse, her body was too numb and weak to move, her mind said she deserved to freeze, to stay out there and suffer. Her skin was unnaturally pale save for her puffy red eyes and tear stained cheeks. She sat out there as the rain continued to pour and that's when it all suddenly stopped. The rain was gone.

Letting out a soft sniffle she rubbed her eyes and looked up to see a familiar face holding an umbrella over her head and smiling down at her. Ali's body shivered and her voice wavered before she shakily as she asked "W-What are y-you doing out here?"
