After Monodora left, I heard a noise ring across the gym.
It came from...my pocket?
Now that I think about it, my pocket did feel a little bit heavier than normal.
I took out what was inside.
A tablet?
It looks like everyone else got one, too.
I decided to turn mine on.
A message appeared on the screen.

"Kaihou Academy E-Handbook | Ayumu Fujimori"
"Students must live at Kaihou Academy for the remainder of their forseeable future."
"Once a murder takes place, all surviving students must participate in a class trial."
"If the blackened is exposed during the class trial, they alone will be executed."
"If the blackened is not exposed, all remaining students will be executed."
"If the blackened survives the class trial, they will graduate and re-enter the outside world."

Ayumu: This really...can't be happening.
We're really...in a killing game.

I sighed as I put my E-Handbook back in my pocket.
It seems everyone else had finished reading theirs, as well.

Akira: A killing game, huh? We really have no choice.
Nico: Nico Himuro wants to know who could be doing this to us.
We're like lab rats.
Seishi: I don't think "who did this" is our primary concern.
We should be thinking of ways to escape other than murder.

Samejima looked like he was gonig to smash his E-Handbook on the ground!

Misuzu: The school rules state you cannot break your Handbook.
Kazuomi: And why should I listen to those damn rules?
Saiji: Because if you break the rules, you'll be immediately executed.
And frankly, I can't think of anyone here who would want that.

We need to work together for now in order to escape alive.
Akira: But didn't you just say we shouldn't trust eachother?
Mikoto: Trusting eachother and working together are separate things.
Arguing will just get us nowhere.
Maiko: Yeah! Like with dance shows!

Itsuki finished her speech and went back to being silent.

Ayumu: Y-Yeah! I agree! We won't give Monodora what he wants!

After we all promised to stay alive, we returned to our rooms.
Nighttime hasn't happened yet, but we all figured tomorrow would be a big day of trying to find an escape.
So we all headed to our rooms early.
