Lucky Stars - Chapter Twelve

"Babe can you get me a drink" Beau yelled out to me from the backyard. It had been 2 years since Beaus accident and everything was pretty much back to normal. Well except the fact that he was 22 and I was 21, and the big fact that we had moved into a house together he was completely back to normal. I grabbed 2 cruisers from the fridge and walked outside to where Beau was sitting on the chairs, it was hot and he was sitting beside the pool in shorts and no top I was wearing bathers, I handed him the drink and he popped it open, I placed myself down next to him and took a drink. "I'm going in the pool you coming?" he stood up after we had been sitting together for about 15 minutes

"Nah I'll come in in a minute" I said

"Ok" he jumped up and as he did something fall out of his pocket. He didn't notice but it was left on his chair.

"Babe something fall out of your pocket" I told him

"What is it?" he swam over the to the edge of the swimming pool. I grabbed the little bag and took it over to him, I placed it on the floor and sat with my

Legs in the swimming pool.

"What is it?" I asked as he opened the little bag trying not to get it wet.

"I don't know I'm gonna get it wet can you look" he handed me the little bag. I opened it up and pulled out a little box. It was a little navy velvet box, what on earth was inside here. I opened the box to see a ring it was amazing.

"Alex I love you so much and can't see myself spending my life with anyone else. Will you marry me?" he asked. I put the little box with the ring in it on the floor. I jumped into the water where Beau was, wrapped my legs around his waist and he held onto me and looked into my eyes. "Yes yes yes yes yes I'll marry you" I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. No idea how long we kissed for but I do no it was a long time. We were going to be married, I was going to be Mrs Beau Brooks. I was over the moon happy! That night I had pretty much called everyone I knew and told them about me and beau, my mum, dad, sister, grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousins, beaus family, everyone. Beau and I had decided to get married after a few months, we didn't want to rush it but we didn't want to wait ages, so we had thought about 7 months. I couldn't wait to start planning this wedding, as a little girl I had dreamed of having a huge wedding, still dreamed it now! I knew that we weren't going to have a little wedding but I wanted just medium size, not one of them huge Italian weddings which I was pretty sure my parents wanted me having.

"I'll miss you so much! Have an amazing time you lucky thing" my little sister said to me with tears in her eyes, yes Beau and me were married and just like everyone says the day had been the most amazing day of my life. It had been a medium sized wedding, only about 150 people came so I guess some people would say that's large. But what can I say we have a lot of friends. It had been a week and a 1/2 since Beau and our wedding and we were leaving for our honeymoon. We were going to Queensland for 2 weeks. After we got back though Beau and the boys were going to Perth because they were doing some meet thing there. It was a little cold here in Melbourne so hopefully Queensland would be warmer. (Beau: LEMON & RAW EGG CHALLENGE). "Aw Steph I'll miss you so much I'll ring you when we get there ok tell Michael I'll miss him too" yes that's right they were still together, I reckon some day they will turn out like me and Beau. After saying goodbye to everyone at the airport - mum, dad, Steph, Luke, jai, Gina, James, Daniel, Sarah, Izzy (Jais girlfriend), Mel (Lukes girlfriend) and Emily (my best friend who has a little thing going with Daniel but neither of them will admit it, although I've caught them holding hands and almost caught them kiss but they saw me) - we had to board our flight. When Beau and I got on the aero plane we took our seats, threw out carry-on luggage into the holders above our seats and we relaxed into the comfortable aero plane seats next to each other.
